Regularly updating your email password is a key measure in safeguarding your account from hackers and other attempts to steal your personal data. When changing your password, make sure it is strong, unique, and different from the passwords you use for other online accounts. It should be at least 8 characters long, incorporating letters, numbers, and special characters. To make your password harder to guess, avoid using personal information that you commonly share with others, such as your birthday, phone number, or the names of your pets or children.
