Today, Mytour will guide you through the process of changing your Spotify password via the website. If you've forgotten or lost your password, follow these steps to reset your account password.
Steps
Change Password
Visit https://www.spotify.com using a web browser.
- Password changes cannot be made through the mobile app.
Click on Log In in the top-right corner of the window.
Enter your username/email address and password.
- If you use Facebook to log in to Spotify, you won't have a Spotify password to manage, but you can change your Facebook password.
Click on LOG IN.
Click on your username at the bottom-left corner of the window.
Click on Account.
- If Spotify opens a web player, you may need to click View Account first.
Scroll down and click on Change Password. This option is located next to the lock icon in the left-hand menu.
Enter your current password in the top field.
Type your new password in the next field.
Re-enter your new password in the bottom field.
Click on SET NEW PASSWORD. Your account password will now be updated.
Reset Password
Visit http://www.spotify.com/password-reset using a web browser.
Enter your Spotify username or email address in the provided field. Ensure that this email address is linked to your Spotify account.
Click on SEND. A password recovery email will be sent to the email address associated with your Spotify account.
Check your email for a notification from Spotify.
Click on the link provided in the email.
Enter your new password in the designated field.
Re-enter your new password for confirmation.
Click on SET PASSWORD. Your account password has now been updated.
