Today, Mytour will show you how to check the remaining battery life of your Apple AirPods. You can do this on your iPhone or by checking the AirPods charging case.
Steps
Using iPhone
Make sure that your AirPods are paired with your iPhone.Bluetooth
- Bring the AirPods charging case near your iPhone.
- Open the charging case.
- Press Connect when prompted.

Try checking the AirPods battery by placing the charging case near the iPhone. If the AirPods are paired with your iPhone, you will see the battery status displayed as a percentage at the bottom of your iPhone screen.
- It is important to place the AirPods case right next to the phone.
- It may take a few seconds after opening the case before the charging status appears on the iPhone.
- If you don’t see the battery status on your iPhone, try closing and reopening the AirPods case.
- You will see the battery status for both the AirPods and the charging case.

Open the iPhone Widget page (a type of utility program). Swipe left to right on your iPhone screen until you reach the far-left page. You can set up the Batteries widget.
- The Batteries widget will allow you to see the battery level of Bluetooth-connected devices.

Scroll down and tap on Edit (Edit). This round button is at the bottom of the page. A list of available widgets will appear.

Find the Batteries widget. Scroll down until you locate the Batteries widget. It is usually near the top of the "MORE WIDGETS" section.

Tap the + next to the Batteries option.

Move the Batteries widget to the top. Press and hold the ☰ icon on the right side of Batteries, then drag the option to the top of the Widget page.

Tap Done in the top right corner of the screen. Your changes will be saved and the Batteries widget will appear at the top of the Widget page.

Scroll up to the "BATTERIES" section at the top of the page.

View the remaining battery of your AirPods. As long as your AirPods are connected to your iPhone, you will see the battery level of the earbuds displayed below the iPhone's battery status in the "BATTERIES" section.
Using the AirPods charging case

Open the AirPods charging case. Flip open the lid on the top of the case and open it fully.

Ensure that your AirPods are inside the charging case. As long as at least one earbud is inside the charging case, you will be able to see the charge level. Make sure to check and place your AirPods in the case (if necessary) before proceeding.

Check the light between the AirPods compartments. You will see an amber or green light, but if you've just placed the AirPods in the case, it might take a few seconds for the light to turn on.
- If there are no AirPods in the case, this light will reflect the charge level of the case itself.

Determine the charging status of your AirPods. A green light indicates that the AirPods are fully charged. On the other hand, an amber light means that the AirPods are not fully charged.
Use the Bluetooth menu on your Mac computer.
Bluetooth- If you don’t see the icon, open System Preferences and click on Bluetooth.
- If Bluetooth is turned off, click on Turn Bluetooth On.
Extend battery lifespan

Keep the AirPods in the charging case as much as possible. When not in use, you should store your AirPods in the charging case. The case will keep the earbuds fully charged and ready for use.

Avoid opening and closing the charging case too often. Excessive opening and closing of the case can shorten the battery’s lifespan. Only open the case when you need to remove the earbuds, store them, or check the battery status. Otherwise, limit the case’s opening and closing.
- Leaving the case open for too long will drain the battery.
- Clean the charging case and earbuds with a lint-free cloth.

Plug AirPods into your Mac computer. AirPods will charge faster when connected to your Mac. You can also speed up the charging process using a USB cable designed for iPhone or iPad.

Charge AirPods at the right temperature. Both AirPods and the charging case should be charged at room temperature, around 35°C, to ensure stable charging.

Fix battery drain by resetting AirPods. To reset your AirPods, press and hold the setup button on the charging case until you see an amber light flashing. Keep holding for at least 15 seconds, then reconnect your AirPods to your device.
- If resetting doesn’t resolve the issue, you may need to return or repair your AirPods.
