This guide will walk you through the process of verifying and downloading the most recent version of the Mozilla Firefox browser.
Steps to follow
Manually Update Firefox

Launch the Firefox application. The icon is a circular globe with a fox wrapped around it.

Click on the Help button located at the top-left corner of the screen.

Select About Firefox from the menu. Firefox will open a dialog box and automatically check for and download any available updates.

Click on Restart Firefox to Update in the dialog box. The update will be installed once Firefox restarts.
Enable Automatic Updates

Click on the ☰ icon located at the top-left corner of the screen.

Select Options from the menu.

Click on Advanced. This button is located at the bottom of the left-hand menu in the window.

Click on Update. This option is positioned at the top of the window.

Choose your preferred "Firefox updates" setting. Select one of the following options by clicking the radio button next to it:
- "Automatically install updates (recommended: improved security)"
- "Check for updates, but let you choose whether to install them"
- "Never check for updates (not recommended: security risk)"

Close the tab by clicking the "x" next to the "Options" tab. Your update settings are now configured.
