Today, Mytour will guide you on how to connect a wireless Xbox 360 controller to your Xbox 360 console, Windows computer, and Mac.
Steps
Connecting to Xbox 360

Turn on the Xbox 360. Press the power button located on the right side of the front of the console.
- Ensure that the console is connected to a power source.

Turn on the controller. Press and hold the Guide button with the Xbox logo in the center of the controller. The button will start flashing.

Wait for the controller to connect. Once the Guide light on the controller remains steady and the Power light on the Xbox 360 stops blinking, the controller has been synced with the console.
Connecting to a Windows Computer

Purchase an Xbox 360 USB Wireless Receiver. You can find this device on Amazon or at electronics stores like Best Buy.
- Make sure you are buying the receiver licensed by Microsoft, not a third-party product, as third-party devices will not work with Xbox 360.

Plug the receiver into your PC. The cable end will fit into a USB port on your computer. When you plug in the receiver, your computer will prompt you to install the device driver.
- If the driver doesn’t install automatically, you can insert the receiver’s installation disc into the computer to manually install the driver.

Unplug the Xbox 360. If you have an Xbox 360, unplug the console before proceeding; otherwise, the controller will automatically connect to the Xbox 360.

Turn on the controller. Press and hold the Guide button with the Xbox logo located in the center of the controller. The button will begin flashing.

Press the connect button on the receiver. This button is circular and located in the middle of the receiver. The light on the receiver will turn on.

Test the controller by playing a game. The controller’s settings will vary depending on the game, so you may need to adjust the controller’s settings within the game before using it.
