Are you having trouble connecting your Hero 3 to the GoPro App on your Android or iPhone? Some users have reported difficulties in pairing their GoPro Hero 3 with the app, even after updating the camera or adding the device through the app. Today, Mytour will guide you through manually connecting the GoPro Hero 3 to the GoPro App without using the app itself.
Steps

Download the GoPro App from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS). You can download the app for free to your phone or tablet.
- The following steps are for the camera, so you can set your phone aside for now.

Press the Power/Mode button on the camera to turn it on. The POWER/MODE button is located at the front of the camera, next to the lens.

Press the Shutter/Select button, which has a circular icon located at the top of the camera.
- This button combination allows the camera to access the Wi-Fi menu.

Use the Power/Mode button to navigate to GoPro App and press the Shutter/Select button again. This will connect the camera to the "GoPro App" Wi-Fi network. Once you've completed the camera setup, you can continue with your phone.

Connect to the network GOPRO-BP on your phone. The network name is usually followed by a series of letters and numbers, but essentially it will still appear as "GOPRO-BP". The default password for this connection is "goprohero" in lowercase.
- On Android, swipe down from the top of the home screen, then press and hold the Wi-Fi icon. When the list of available networks appears, select "GOPRO-BP" and enter the password "goprohero". Then tap Connect.
- On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, select the "GOPRO-BP" network, enter "goprohero" as the password, and tap Join.

Launch the GoPro App. Your phone should now be connected to the camera via Wi-Fi and will appear in the app.
- If you previously connected the two devices but are experiencing issues, try updating the software on both the phone and camera, then remove any old connections (Bluetooth or Wi-Fi). Afterward, re-pair and reconnect the devices.
