How to Contact Google

Learn how Google’s help center operates. Since Google cannot offer customer support for requests like resetting passwords or recovering accounts, they provide a list of common support topics and guides for frequent issues.

• Though the help center may not give you the feeling of directly contacting Google, it remains the sole point of contact for resolving issues when you need assistance from Google.

Open Google Support. Visit https://support.google.com/ using your web browser.

Select a product. Click on the name of the product you're experiencing issues with.

• For example, if you're having trouble with Google Chrome, click on the Google Chrome option.

View potential support sources. A list of common topics will appear in the middle of the page, and you can search for your question or issue here.

Choose a support category. Click on the category related to the question or issue you need help with. The category will expand, showing you more specific options.

• If clicking on the category opens a help page, you can skip the next step.
• You can also enter your question or issue in the search bar at the top of the page.

Pick a support topic. Click on one of the topics listed under the expanded category. This will open the support article for that topic.

• If you’ve already typed a question or issue in the search bar, click on the topic displayed in the list of options below the search bar.

Follow the instructions in the support article. Simply read the support article carefully and follow the steps provided to resolve your issue.

• You may need to follow instructions from several articles to fully resolve your problem.
• Most support articles have a list of related articles on the right side of the page.

View support phone numbers for Android devices. If you need support for an Android device that is not a Pixel, you can follow these steps to find the support phone numbers:

• Click on Pixel Phone on the Google Support page.
• Click on Contact us at the top right of the page.
• Click on Android Device Support.
• View the list of phone numbers.

Request help for Pixel phones. If you're using a Pixel 1 or Pixel 2 Android phone, you can request support from Google via text message or call by following these steps:

• Click on Pixel Phone on the Google Support page.
• Click on Contact us at the top right of the page.
• Click on Pixel Device Support.
• Select your Pixel model.
• Click on Request callback to receive help via a call or Request chat to get assistance via text.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

Request help for Google Drive. Google offers direct support only for Google Drive. To request a chat or email support from Google, follow these steps:

• Click on Google Drive on the Google Support page.
• Click on Contact us at the top right of the page.
• Select a topic, then choose a category when prompted.
  • Request a refund is not an available option at this step.
• Click on Request chat or Email support.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to begin the chat or receive the email.

It's important to understand that direct contact with Google is extremely limited. Unless you are a reporter or a G Suite administrator, the primary means of reaching out to Google involves mailing letters or submitting job applications. The only exception is for Android support, Pixel assistance, and Google Drive help as mentioned earlier.

Never call unverified phone numbers claiming to be Google. Many scam phone numbers that falsely represent Google are still circulating. To avoid being deceived (or wasting time), only use the phone numbers listed on Google's official documentation. For instance, you can contact the number on the G Suite page, but avoid using numbers from unverified websites. Google employees will never ask you to provide your password over the phone or through text messages.

If you're a journalist and need to contact Google for clarification, you can email the press team at [email protected]. Whether or not you receive a response will depend on the email's subject. Google only accepts and replies to emails from well-known reporters.

If you're okay with mailing letters and don't expect a reply, you can send your correspondence to Google's office at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043. However, Google almost never responds to mail sent via post, so this is not recommended for urgent or sensitive matters.

Contacting the G Suite support team is only possible for G Suite administrators, not regular Google account users. If you're a G Suite admin, you can get 24/7 customer support. To reach Google via G Suite, follow these steps: 1. Visit https://gsuite.google.com/support/ using your web browser. 2. Choose a contact method (for example, click on 'Phone Support' if you wish to receive a call from Google). 3. Click 'SIGN IN TO G SUITE'. 4. Log in with your G Suite admin account credentials. 5. Follow the on-screen instructions. To call Google, follow the instructions on the phone line.

The final way to directly contact Google is by submitting a job application. You can browse and apply for available positions on Google's Careers page: 1. Visit https://careers.google.com/jobs using your computer's web browser. 2. Change the location in the top-right corner to select your desired location. 3. Click on the 'Search jobs' field and press Enter. 4. Browse through the results. 5. Select a position and click 'APPLY' in the top-right corner. 6. Complete the application form and follow the on-screen instructions.
