Today, Mytour will show you how to contact YouTube to resolve common issues such as content errors, abuse, security problems, and copyright complaints. While it's possible to start a conversation with YouTube via social media or the Creator Support Team (if you're an eligible partner), there’s no guaranteed method to reach YouTube and get a response. Note: YouTube does not have an email address or phone number for direct contact; even if you call their support hotline, you'll only hear an automated message directing you to the YouTube Help Center – the best option in most cases.
Steps to Follow
Via Social Media

Keep in mind that contacting YouTube through social media may not initiate a proper conversation. YouTube maintains active social media accounts, but they rarely respond to comments on posts or tagged content. In the rare case that you do engage in a conversation with a YouTube representative, there will likely be no personal feedback (such as confirmation that your issue is being addressed or instructions for using the YouTube Help Center).

Post a tweet on YouTube. One of the most effective ways to engage with YouTube is via Twitter. You can post a direct comment on their page:
- Open Twitter by going to https://www.twitter.com (on desktop) or clicking the Twitter app icon (on mobile) and log in.
- If you don’t have an account, you need to create a Twitter account first.
- Click on Tweet or the Tweet icon in the top right corner.
- Type @YouTube followed by your message.
- Click or tap Tweet to send it.

Comment on YouTube's Facebook post. Like many organizations, YouTube maintains a Facebook page to post updates. However, due to the volume of content, it can be difficult to reach them through Facebook. To leave a comment, follow these steps:
- Go to https://www.facebook.com/youtube using your desktop browser.
- Log in to your Facebook account when prompted.
- Find the post you want to comment on and click the Comment field below the post.
- Enter your message and press ↵ Enter.

Leave a message on YouTube's Instagram post. Compared to Facebook, YouTube's Instagram page posts a variety of content but receives relatively few comments:
- Visit https://www.instagram.com/youtube using your desktop browser.
- Log in to Instagram when prompted.
- Find the post you want to comment on.
- Click on the speech bubble icon below the post.
- Enter your message and press ↵ Enter.
Contact the Creator Support Team

You must meet the eligibility criteria to use this method. YouTube hasn't clearly stated the requirements for "eligibility" to send an email to the Creator Support Team, but first, you must be a YouTube Partner and have at least 10,000 channel views to date.
- Some creators may meet these criteria but still be unable to email YouTube because they recently reached 10,000 views.

You need a computer. You cannot access the YouTube Creator Support Team on a smartphone or tablet.

Open YouTube. Go to https://www.youtube.com/, then click SIGN IN in the top-right corner and enter your YouTube account details.

Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner of the page. A dropdown menu will appear.

Click on Help. This option is near the bottom of the dropdown menu.

Click on Need more help? (Do you need further assistance?). This option is at the top of the menu. A second dropdown menu will appear.

Select a category. Click on the topic that best matches the reason you wish to contact YouTube from the dropdown menu.

Click on Email Support. This option may appear as Get Creator resources. A list of topics will be displayed.
- If you're not eligible to contact YouTube through this method, the Email Support link will not appear.

Send an email to the Creator Support Team. After confirming your access to Creator Support Team resources, follow these steps:
- Choose the category relevant to your issue.
- Click the link contact the Creator Support team.
- If you don’t see this link, go back and select a different category.
- Enter your name, email address, and channel URL in the provided fields.
- Scroll down and describe your issue or request in the "How can we help you?" text box.
- Select "Yes" or "No" under the question "Is your issue about a specific video?" and follow any additional steps if prompted.
- Click SUBMIT.

Try reporting a video or comment first. When you report a case of spam or abuse for a comment or video, YouTube will take note of the content.

Navigate to the report tool page. Open https://www.youtube.com/reportabuse in your preferred browser.

Choose the reason for the report. Select one of the listed reasons at the top of the page by checking the corresponding box:
- Harassment and Cyberbullying - Report verbal abuse, bullying, or light threats online with this option.
- Impersonation - Report fake channels impersonating another channel using this option.
- Violent Threats - This option reports channels containing violent threats.
- Child Endangerment - This option reports videos where children are exposed to dangerous or harmful situations.
- Hate Speech Against a Protected Group - Use this to report hate speech directed at protected groups.
- Spam and Scams - Report spam or scam content with this option.

Provide relevant details. Depending on your selected reason, the available options will change:
- Harassment and Cyberbullying - Click Confirm when prompted, check the box under "HARASSMENT AND CYBERBULLYING" and follow the instructions.
- Impersonation - Check the box under "IMPERSONATION", enter the channel name (or both channel names), click Continue, and complete the form that appears.
- Violent Threats - Click Confirm when prompted, enter the channel name under "VIOLENT THREAT", click Continue, and fill out the form that appears.
- Child Endangerment - Click Confirm when prompted, then check the option below.
- Hate Speech Against a Protected Group - Select the type of hate speech, enter the channel name, click Continue, and complete the form that follows.
- Spam and Scams - Choose the type of spam or scam, enter the channel name, click Continue, and fill out the form.

Submit the form. Once the form is completed, click the Submit button at the bottom of the page. YouTube will review your report and take appropriate action.
- Note that, regardless of their actions, you will not receive any feedback from YouTube.

Click on the Continue button in blue towards the bottom of the page. You will be redirected to the results page.

View the results page. In many cases, this page will contain information on how YouTube has handled the reported issue, as well as tips on preventing this problem in the future. If your inquiry involves an actionable issue, a report link will appear in the information section.

Click on the report or fill out form. If possible, click the report link in the details section to open the reporting page.

Fill in the required information and submit all forms thereafter. Provide the requested details and click the Send or Submit button. The report will be sent to YouTube's security team. While you may not receive a response, the issue could be resolved within a week or two.

Send a message to YouTube

Open the 'Contact Us' page. Visit the link https://www.youtube.com/t/contact_us using your preferred web browser.

Scroll down to the 'Our Address' section, located near the bottom of the 'Contact Us' page.

View the address. YouTube's headquarters address will be listed here. This is the address to which you need to send your letter. As of December 2017, YouTube's address is YouTube, LLC | 901 Cherry Ave | San Bruno, CA 94066 | USA. You may also choose to fax your message to +1 (650) 253-0001.

Draft your message. Whether you're sending praise or attempting to report an account issue to YouTube, ensure that your letter is concise, polite, and relatively short.
- Note: YouTube has over 1 billion monthly users, so the chances of YouTube reviewing and responding to your message are slim.
- The shorter your message, the higher the likelihood of YouTube reviewing it.

Send the letter to YouTube's address or fax machine. If the issue or your letter is prioritized by YouTube, you may receive a response from them (or the issue might be resolved without a response).
