Today, Mytour will guide you through the process of converting Microsoft PowerPoint presentations into Microsoft Word documents. For Windows users, this can be done using the "Create Handouts" feature in PowerPoint. Mac users, however, will need to export the file as an RTF (Rich Text Format) since the "Create Handouts" feature is unavailable on Mac versions. Note that RTF files may not fully preserve all PowerPoint formatting, so some images and backgrounds might not be supported.
Steps
On Windows

Open your PowerPoint presentation. To open the presentation you wish to convert, click on File > Open... and select the file.

Click on File in the top menu bar.

Select Export… (Export…) from the dropdown menu.

Click on Create Handouts.

Choose Create Handouts in Microsoft Word (Create Handouts in Microsoft Word).

Click on Create Handouts.

Select the layout for the Word document.
- If you want the Word document to update automatically whenever changes are made to the original PowerPoint presentation, click Paste link.
- If you prefer the Word document to remain unchanged regardless of updates to the original PowerPoint, click Paste.

Click OK. The PowerPoint presentation will open as a Word document.
On Mac

Open the PowerPoint presentation. To open the presentation you wish to convert, click File > Open... and select the file.

Click File on the menu bar, then select Export….

Enter the file name in the "Export As" field and choose the save location from the dropdown menu labeled "Where".

Click on the "File Format" menu and select Rich Text Format (.rtf).

Click Export. The PowerPoint presentation will be saved as a Rich Text Format (.rtf) document in the specified location.

Launch Microsoft Word. The application features a blue W icon.

Open the RTF file. Click File, choose Open…, and select the RTF file you just exported from PowerPoint. The RTF file will open in Microsoft Word.

Click File and select Save As… (Save As…). This action opens a Save window, allowing you to save the document as a Word file.

Click the dropdown menu labeled "Format" and choose Word Document (.docx).

Click Save. The PowerPoint presentation will be saved as a Microsoft Word document.
- In most cases, the formatting and page numbers in the Word document may not match the original PowerPoint presentation, and some images or backgrounds may not be supported in the RTF format. Be sure to review the entire Word document and make adjustments as needed.
