Between 2006 and 2011, the Noob (a character designed for new players) on the online gaming platform Roblox featured a blue torso, green legs, and a yellow head and arms. However, in 2011, their appearance underwent significant changes and has remained that way since. While some players fondly remember the old Noob character and others dislike it, it has always held a special place in Roblox's history. This guide is for those who wish to recreate the classic Noob look in Roblox.
Steps
Log into Roblox. Visit https://www.roblox.com using your web browser, then enter your username and password at the top of the screen and click Log In.
Click on Avatar. This option is located in the menu on the left-hand side.
Remove all character features. Take off clothing, faces, hats, hair, heads, torsos, gear, equipment, etc. You need to find and uncheck every item marked in the list.
- If you don’t remove everything, you won’t achieve the authentic Noob look, so double-check your work!
- You can keep your animations, but removing them will make you look even more like a Noob.
- Removing the Roblox R15 animation will also make you resemble the classic Noob, though this step is optional.
Click or hover over the Body tab. This is the third tab next to your avatar.
Click on Skin Tone. This option is located next to "Appearance" in the menu that appears below the "Body" tab.
Scroll down and click Advanced. This button is located at the bottom-right corner of the skin tone adjustment menu.
- You can only access the "Advanced" section of the skin tone menu if you’re using a desktop or laptop.
Set the Head, Left Arm, and Right Arm to "Bright Yellow." Click the circle next to "All" in the left-hand menu, then select the "Bright Yellow" circle. You may see the label "Bright yellow" when hovering over this color.
Set the torso to "Bright Blue." Click the circle next to "Torso" in the left-hand menu, then select the "Bright Blue" circle. You may see the label "Bright Blue" when hovering over this color.
Set the left and right legs to "Bright Yellowish Green." Click the circle next to "Left Leg" and choose the "Bright Yellowish Green" circle. You may see the label "Br. yellowish green" when hovering over this color. Repeat this step for the Right Leg.
Click Done. This button is located at the bottom of the color selection menu. Now you’re all set! Enjoy the nostalgic experience of playing as a classic Noob!
Tips
- You can keep your Noob character as is or add clothing to suit your preferences. While it won’t look exactly like the classic Noob, many players enjoy roaming around with a slightly Noob-inspired appearance.
- If you want to create a modern Noob instead of the classic version, consider using 'pal hair,' a 'blue and black motorcycle shirt,' and 'black jeans.' You can also use the 'silly fun' face or a simple 'Smile' face.
