A Google account is your key to accessing all of Google's apps and services, most of which are free. Registering for a Google account is quick, but you'll need to provide some personal details. Follow the steps below to get the most out of Google.
Steps

Visit any Google website. This includes Google, Gmail, Google+, Drive, and many more. Click the red 'Sign In' button, then click the red 'Sign Up' button. This will direct you to the 'Create a new Google Account' page.
- The buttons may vary depending on the Google service you are using. For example, Gmail has a 'Create an Account' button instead of 'Sign Up'.

- This option does not apply if you are registering for a Gmail account. In that case, you must create a new Gmail account.
- If your desired username is unavailable, you'll be given similar alternatives, or you can try another username.

Fill in the remaining necessary information. You will need to enter your full name, date of birth (to verify your age), gender, phone number in case you lose access to your account, and an email address for verification. You also need to provide the country where you currently reside.
- Phone number is recommended but optional.

Enter the CAPTCHA verification code. This tool ensures that a real person is creating the account. If you can't read the code, click the refresh button next to the text box to get a new verification code, or click the speaker icon to hear the code read aloud by the computer.

Agree to the privacy policy. Take time to read through the privacy policies to understand what Google can and cannot do with your personal information. Tick the box if you agree with Google's terms and conditions.

Click on Next Step. You will be directed to the page to create your Google+ profile. Every Google account will automatically create a Google+ account upon setup. You can choose to add a photo to your account if you wish.

Click on the Get Started button. Your Google account is now created. You can click to return to the Google homepage or access any Google service. Auto-login will be enabled on any Google page you visit.
