Today, Mytour will guide you through resetting your current Bitmoji avatar to create a brand-new character from scratch.
Steps
Open the Bitmoji app. The app features a green icon with a winking white speech bubble, typically located on the home screen or app drawer.
- This method will delete your current Bitmoji, allowing you to start fresh. This is because a single Bitmoji account cannot be linked to two avatars.
- If you've just installed Bitmoji, you can explore online resources to learn more about its usage.
Tap the gear icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
Tap on Reset Avatar (Reset Avatar). A confirmation prompt will appear.
Press OK to confirm. You will be redirected to the gender selection screen to start over.
Select your gender. Note that this choice cannot be changed later unless you reset your account.
Choose your Bitmoji style. Select either the Bitmoji or Bitstrips style for your avatar. Here’s the difference between the two options:
- The Bitmoji style is simpler and more cartoon-like.
- The Bitstrips style offers more customization options and looks more realistic.
Customize your Bitmoji’s face and hair. As you navigate through the features, a preview of your avatar will update in real-time. Tap the arrow in the top-right corner to proceed through the options until you reach the “Save and Pick Outfit” screen.
Tap on Save and Pick Outfit.
Select an outfit. When you tap on an outfit, a preview of your avatar wearing it will appear.
Tap the checkmark in the top-right corner to save your character design. Your new Bitmoji is now ready to use.
Tips
- You can edit your Bitmoji’s face, body, and outfit at any time. Simply open the Bitmoji app and tap the Edit icon (a person’s head with a pencil) at the top of the screen.
- You can add Bitmoji stickers to your snaps after linking Bitmoji with Snapchat (if applicable).
