This article provides a step-by-step guide on installing the Simple Poll app in Slack and creating a poll within a chat channel using a desktop internet browser.
Steps

Open Simple Poll in your internet browser. Type simplepoll.rocks into the address bar and press ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return on your keyboard.

Click the Add to Slack button. This button is located in the center of the page. You will then be prompted to grant Simple Poll access to your Slack workspace.
- If you are not automatically logged into Slack in your browser, you will need to enter your workspace address and log in using your email and password.
Click the green Allow button.

Open Slack on your computer. You can use the Slack desktop app or log in to your workspace on Slack.com.

Select a channel from the left-hand panel. Search for the channel where you want to send the poll in your workspace's channel list and open it.

Type /poll "Question" "1" "2" into the message field. This command allows you to create a poll using the Simple Poll app and share it with others in the chat.

Replace "Question" with the actual question you want to ask (remember to keep it in quotes). Delete Question within the quotes and enter your poll question.

Replace "1" and "2" with your response options. Delete the numbers inside the quotes, then enter multiple choices for others to vote on.
- You can add even more options to the command line here.

Send the message to the chat. Press ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return on your keyboard to send the command to the chat. The poll will be automatically generated.
