This article will guide you through the process of setting up a Spotify Premium account. You can sign up either through the Spotify website or the mobile app on an Android device; currently, registration via iPhone or iPad is not supported.
Steps
On an Android device
Launch Spotify. The app icon for Spotify is a green circle with black sound waves on a black background.
- If you are not logged into Spotify, tap on the LOG IN button and enter your username and password. You can also log in using your Facebook account.
- If you do not have an account, tap on CREATE ACCOUNT and follow the on-screen instructions.
Tap on the Your Library button. This button is located at the bottom bar of the screen.
Press the PREMIUM button. The "Premium" (Go Premium) button is a large button located at the corner of the screen.
Click on GET PREMIUM (Get Premium). This white button is positioned right in the center of the screen.
Select a payment method. After clicking the "GET PREMIUM" button, you will be prompted to choose a payment option in the middle of the page:
- Tap on the credit card icon to use a credit or debit card.
- Press the PayPal logo to use PayPal.
Enter your zip code. In the section labeled "Please enter your zip code," input the zip code associated with your bank card's billing address.
- The zip code for your bank card may differ from your residential zip code.
Select the CONTINUE button. This green button is located at the bottom of the page.
Enter payment details. Provide your bank card number, cardholder name, expiration date, and security code.
- If you're using PayPal, input your PayPal email and password, then follow the on-screen instructions.
On a computer
Open Spotify. The link https://www.spotify.com/premium/ will direct you to the Spotify Premium sign-up page.
Click the START FREE TRIAL button. This blue button is positioned in the center of the page.
- If you're already logged into your Spotify account, the Premium registration page will appear automatically.
Enter your login details or select the LOG IN WITH FACEBOOK button. If you created your Spotify account using an email and password, enter those details to log in. If you used Facebook to sign up, click the LOG IN WITH FACEBOOK button and follow the on-screen instructions.
- If you don’t have a Spotify account, click the Sign Up button and follow the prompts to create one.
Click the LOG IN button. This blue button is located on the right side of the screen. You’ll log into your Spotify account and proceed to sign up for Spotify Premium.
Choose a payment method. Scroll down, and you’ll see this bar in the middle of the screen:
- Select Credit Card to use a credit or debit card.
- Choose the PayPal logo if you prefer to pay via PayPal.
Enter payment details. Input your bank card number, expiration date, security code, and zip code.
- If using PayPal, enter your PayPal zip code, click the "Continue" button, provide your email and password, and follow the instructions.
Scroll down and click the START 30-DAY TRIAL NOW button. This blue button is at the bottom of the page. After this step, you’ll officially have a Spotify Premium account.
- After 30 days, you’ll be charged 59,000đ (or $9.99) monthly until you cancel your Premium subscription.
Tips
- You can access your Spotify Premium account from anywhere, whether on a computer, mobile phone, or tablet.
Warnings
- Creating a Spotify Premium account and using it without paying the monthly fee will result in account deletion. Additionally, subscribing to paid music services is a great way to support your favorite artists.
