Today, Mytour will show you how to use the "Poll" feature on Facebook to create an interactive survey on your Facebook page. While you can access and fill out the form via the Facebook mobile app, creating the form can only be done through a browser.
Steps
Set up the survey

Open the Facebook Polls page. You can do this by entering the link https://apps.facebook.com/my-polls/ into your browser's URL bar.
- If you're not logged into Facebook, you'll be prompted to enter your email address and password at the top-right corner of the page to continue.

Click on Get Started Now (Start Now). This blue button is positioned in the center of the page.

Enter a title for your survey. The title should be concise and reflect the focus of your poll.
- For instance: a poll about favorite animals could be titled "Choose Your Favorite Animal" (or simply "What Animal Do You Like?").

Click on Continue (Continue). This option appears beneath the title field.

Click on Continue as [your name] when the option appears. This step will grant the "Poll" app access to your Facebook page.
Create a Question

Click on + Add Question (Add Question). This button is located near the center of the page, just left of the Next: Preview (Preview) green button.

Enter your question. Type your question in the "Question" field at the top of the window.
- For example, you might type "What animal do you like?" here.

Select the question type. To proceed, click on the section below the "Question Type" title and choose one of the following options:
- Text Box - Respondents will type their answer.
- Multiple Choice - One answer - Respondents will select one option from the list.
- Multiple Choice - Multiple answers - Respondents can select one or more answers from the list.
- Drop-down list - Respondents click the box and choose an answer from the list.
- Ranking - Respondents rank options based on their preferences or the question.
- Scale of 1 to 5 - Respondents select a number from 1 to 5 (from "poor" to "excellent" by default).
- For the example about animals, you could select a drop-down list, multiple choice (one answer), or text box.

Provide the answers. The format of the answers depends on the type of question you selected:
- Text Box - Click the box below the "Data type" field to select the type of response you accept, from a single line of text to email addresses and phone numbers.
- Multiple Choice/Drop-down list/Ranking - Enter the text you want displayed next to the checkbox in the "Answers" field. Click Add Answer to add more options, or click Add "Other" to add a text box field.
- Scale of 1 to 5 - Choose a rating scale by clicking on the box next to "1" or "5" and entering the label text.
- You can also click the red circle next to an answer to delete it.

Customize advanced question options. To proceed, click on the left side of any or all of the following options if needed:
- This is a mandatory question - Respondents must answer this question before they can continue with the survey.
- Randomize answers order - Shuffle the order of answers every time the survey is taken. This does not apply to certain answer types (e.g., scale from 1 to 5).

Click on Save (Save). This green button can be found at the bottom-right corner of the 'New Question' window. Clicking it will add your question to the survey.

Complete the survey setup. You can add more questions by clicking on the + Add Question button and filling in another form, or you can edit existing questions using the buttons located above each question:
- Click the pencil icon to edit an existing question.
- Click the two paper icon to duplicate the question.
- Click the up or down arrow to move the question up or down in the survey order.
- Click the red circle icon to delete the question.
Publish the survey

Click on Next Preview located on the right side of the + Add Question button.

Review your survey. If everything looks good, you can proceed to publish it.
- If you need to make changes, click the Back: Edit Questions button at the top left of the survey frame.

Click on Next Publish (Post). This green button can be found at the top right corner of the survey box.

Click on Post on Timeline (Post to your timeline). This option is located to the right of the "Sharing Tools" text. A window for the Facebook post will appear, allowing you to add a description to clarify the survey.
- In some browsers, this option may appear as "Add to your page".

Click on Post to Facebook (Post to Facebook). This button is located at the bottom right corner of the post window. The survey will be immediately published on your Facebook page.
- If you want to include a message in the post, first click on the text field at the top of the window and enter your message.
- The text box is a suitable place to let users know they need to disable ads after clicking the survey link to view the actual content of the survey.
Tip
- Upgrading the "Polls" app to the "Premium" version allows you to add image-based answers.
