Mytour will guide you through the steps to permanently close your PayPal account.
Steps
Close Account
Access the website https://www.paypal.com using your browser. Enter https://www.paypal.com into the address bar and press ⏎ Return. Then, click the Log in button located at the top right corner of the window.
- You cannot deactivate your account using the PayPal mobile app.
Log in to PayPal. Enter the email associated with your account and your password into the labeled fields, then click Log In.
- Before closing your account, ensure you review your balance and transfer any remaining funds to your bank account.
- If there are unresolved issues, such as disputes or pending transactions, you won’t be able to close your account until they are resolved.
Click the ⚙️ icon located at the top right corner of the window.
Click the ACCOUNT button near the top of the window.
Scroll down and click Close. It is located next to the "Close your account" line under the "Account options" section.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
Select the reason for closing your account and click the Continue button.
Then click Close Account. This will permanently close your PayPal account.
- Once your PayPal account is closed, it cannot be reopened.

Warning
- Closing your PayPal account is irreversible. Any scheduled transactions or pending activities tied to the account will be canceled. You cannot close your account if it is restricted, has unresolved issues, or contains a balance.
