How to Delete Bookmarked Pages

Using bookmarks is a great way to save pages for later reference. However, because creating bookmarks is so easy, their number can quickly grow. After a while, you'll need to clean up your bookmarks. Deleting bookmarks can be done in just a few clicks or taps on any browser.

Right-click on any bookmark and select "Delete". Whenever you're using Chrome, you can right-click on a bookmark and choose "Delete" to permanently remove it. This can be done for bookmarks in the bookmarks bar, the bookmark manager, or the list in the "Bookmarks" section of the Chrome menu. No confirmation is needed when deleting a bookmark.

Open the Bookmark Manager tool. You can use Chrome's Bookmark Manager to view all your bookmarks at once. Here are a few ways to open this tool in a new tab:

• Click the Chrome menu button and select "Bookmarks" → "Bookmark Manager" to open it in a new tab.
• Press ⌘ Command/Ctrl+⇧ Shift+O to open the Bookmark Manager in another tab.
• Type chrome://bookmarks into the address bar to load the Bookmark Manager in the current tab.

View your bookmarks. All your bookmarks will be displayed in the Bookmark Manager tool. You can expand folders to view the bookmarks stored there.

• If you're signed into Chrome with your Google account, all synced devices will display the same bookmarks.
• Deleting a folder will remove all bookmarks stored in it.

Open the bookmarks bar. This bar appears below the address bar and contains your bookmarks. You can quickly delete bookmarks from here.

• Click the Chrome menu button and select "Bookmarks" → "Show bookmarks bar" to display the bookmarks bar.
• Press ⌘ Command/Ctrl+⇧ Shift+B

Click on any bookmark (also known as a "favorite") and select "Delete". In Internet Explorer, bookmarks are called "favorites," and you can delete them anywhere by right-clicking on each one and selecting "Delete." You can remove them from the Favorites sidebar or the Favorites menu bar.

Open the Favorites sidebar to view your saved bookmarks. The sidebar will display all the bookmarks you’ve stored. Here are a few ways to open the sidebar:

• Click the star (☆) button, then select the "Favorites" tab.
• Press Alt+C and click the "Favorites" tab.

Use the Favorites Manager to view your bookmarks. You can also manage your bookmarks by using the Favorites Manager. This tool makes it easier to open and close your bookmark folders:

• Click the "Favorites" menu and choose "Organize favorites". If you don’t see the "Favorites" menu, press Alt.
• Left-click to open or close a folder.
• Deleting a folder will remove all bookmarks within it.

Search for your bookmarks in Windows Explorer. Internet Explorer saves favorites as files that can be found in Windows Explorer. This allows you to easily delete multiple bookmarks at once.

• Open a Windows Explorer window (⊞ Win+E) and go to C:\Users\username\Favorites. All your Internet Explorer favorites will appear as files and folders.
• You can drag the bookmark files to the Recycle Bin or right-click them and select "Delete".

Tap or click the Hub button, represented by three horizontal lines resembling a paragraph icon.

Tap or click the Favorites tab with the star symbol (☆). In the Edge browser, bookmarks are referred to as "favorites".

Right-click or tap and hold a bookmark, then select "Delete". This action will immediately remove the bookmark. If you delete a folder, all the bookmarks stored inside will also be deleted.

• You cannot delete the "Favorites Bar" folder.

Open the Bookmarks Sidebar. The easiest way to quickly view all your Firefox bookmarks is by using the Bookmarks Sidebar. Click the clipboard icon next to the Bookmark button and select "View Bookmarks Sidebar".

Expand the categories to view your bookmarks. The bookmarks you’ve added are sorted into different categories. Open these folders to view your bookmarks, or use the search box to find a specific one.

Right-click on a bookmark and select "Delete" to remove it. This will immediately delete the bookmark.

• You can right-click on a bookmark displayed anywhere, including in the bookmarks menu, bookmarks bar, or any place you find your bookmark.

Open the Library to manage your bookmarks. If you need to delete multiple bookmarks, the Library will make it easy to search and remove them.

• Click the hard drive icon and select "Show All Bookmarks" or press the keyboard shortcut ⌘ Command/Ctrl+⇧ Shift+B.
• Select multiple bookmarks at once by holding down Ctrl/⌘ Command and clicking each bookmark.

Click the "Bookmarks" menu and select "Edit Bookmarks" to open the bookmark management tool.

• You can also press ⌘ Command+⌥ Option+B.

Press the Control key and click on any bookmark you wish to delete and select "Delete" (Delete). This will instantly remove the bookmark.

Hold the Control key and click on any bookmark in the Favorites bar to delete it. You can quickly remove bookmarks from Safari’s Favorites bar by right-clicking on the bookmark and selecting "Delete" (Delete).

Tap the Chrome menu button (⋮) and select "Bookmarks" to open the list of saved bookmarks. If you don’t see the ⋮ button, scroll up on the screen.

• If you are signed in with your Google account, all synced bookmarks will appear.
• This process is similar for both Android and iOS.

Tap the menu button (⋮) next to the bookmark you wish to delete to open a small menu.

Tap "Delete" to remove the bookmark immediately.

• If you accidentally delete a bookmark, you can tap Undo to restore it. This option will appear for only a few seconds.
• If you delete a folder, all bookmarks within it will also be removed.
