I. How to Delete Long-Sent Zalo Messages on Mobile
The Zalo mobile app is the primary platform developed by the creators, offering all the latest features. For the mobile version of Zalo, there are three distinct methods to delete messages, as outlined below:
- Recall Message: Recalling a message ensures neither party can view its content. However, a notification stating “This message has been recalled” will appear.
- Delete Message: Deleting one or multiple messages on Zalo only removes them from the deleter’s view. Other participants in the conversation can still see the messages.
- Delete Conversation: Deleting a Zalo conversation erases all messages (text, images, videos, documents, etc.) for the deleter. Other participants in the chat will still have access to the conversation.
1. How to Recall Sent Messages on Zalo
Recalling sent messages on Zalo is a familiar feature widely used to retract incorrect messages (for both sender and receiver). This functionality eliminates concerns about accidentally sending the wrong message.
Step 1: Open the Zalo conversation, press and hold the message you wish to recall (text, image, file, document, etc.).
(If you want to recall multiple messages at once, select the Select Multiple option and choose all the messages you wish to retract.)
Step 2: Next, select Recall to delete the message on Zalo.
Step 3: Once recalled, the message will display “This message has been recalled,” making it invisible to all participants in the conversation.
2. How to Delete Sent Messages on Zalo
In addition to recalling messages, you can also delete messages on Zalo quickly and effectively. To delete long-sent Zalo messages, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the conversation, locate the message you want to delete, and press and hold it. Then, select Delete (1) to remove it immediately or choose Select Multiple to delete several messages at once.
Step 2: Next, Select the messages to delete (2) and choose Delete for Me – Delete for Everyone (3). Finally, select Delete (4) to confirm the deletion of the selected messages.
The Delete for Everyone feature is only available in group chats; it is not applicable in individual conversations.
3. How to Delete a Conversation on Zalo
Deleting a conversation on Zalo removes all messages within that chat. This method is both quick and thorough, making it a popular choice for clearing conversations.
Step 1: Open the Zalo app, locate the conversation you wish to delete, and swipe left.
Step 2: Then, select Delete ➞ Delete Conversation to quickly remove the conversation from Zalo.
II. How to Delete Long-Sent Zalo Messages on PC
The Zalo desktop application now includes all the features available on the mobile version. On your computer, you can also recall, delete messages, or clear conversations quickly and easily.
1. How to Recall Sent Messages on Zalo
Step 1: Open the Zalo conversation containing the message you want to recall.
Step 2: Then, Right-click on the message you want to delete and select Recall.
(If you want to recall multiple messages at once, choose the Select Multiple Messages option and proceed to select all the messages you wish to retract.)
2. How to Delete Sent Messages on Zalo
Step 1: Open the conversation containing the messages you want to delete.
Step 2: Right-click on the message you want to delete and select Delete for Me.
If you want to delete multiple messages at once, choose the Select Multiple option and proceed to select all the messages you wish to remove.
3. How to Delete a Conversation on Zalo
To delete a conversation on Zalo PC, simply Right-click on the conversation in the list and select Delete Conversation.
Note: Once a conversation is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
