This Mytour article provides a step-by-step guide to permanently deleting your Spotify account through the official Spotify website.
Steps
Visit the Spotify homepage through your web browser.
- You cannot delete your Spotify account directly from the app.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the About section. This is located at the bottom left corner of the page, just beneath "Company".
Click Contact Us (Get in touch with us). This section can be found beneath the "Customer Service and Support" (Assistance and services for customers).
Enter your username and password, then click Log In (Log in). If you're already logged in, you can skip this step.
Click Account (Account). This option is located beneath the "Hello. How can we help you?" section. After clicking the link, you’ll be directed to a screen asking for details on the issue you're facing with your account.
Click I want to close my Spotify account permanently (I want to permanently delete my Spotify account). This option is located under the section "Can you tell us a little more?" (Could you provide more details?).
Click Close Account (Delete account). Spotify's customer service team will process your request shortly, and your account will be permanently deleted after the request is approved.
- Once your account is deleted, you will no longer be able to restore your music library. If you'd prefer to pause Spotify, click the Cancel Subscription (Cancel paid subscription) button on the page. This way, you can restore your playlists, songs, and friends if you ever decide to reactivate your paid subscription later.
