This guide from Mytour will teach you how to stop saving your search and browsing activity on your Google account in Chrome. While there's no option to disable local storage of browsing data on your computer, you can turn off the online tracking process on your account.
Steps

Open the Google Chrome browser on your computer. The Chrome icon looks like a three-colored circle with a blue dot in the center.

Click the profile icon. This icon resembles a small Google profile image at the top-right corner of the New Tab page. A dropdown menu will appear.
- If you don't have a profile picture, this button will display the first letter of your name.
- If Chrome opens to a page other than the New Tab, simply open a new tab to find this button.
- If you're not signed in to your Google account on Chrome, you'll see a blue 'Sign in' button there. In that case, click the button and sign into your account.

Click on the My Account
button. This blue button in the dropdown menu will open the My Account page for your Google account.

Click on the Manage your Google activity option under Personal info & privacy. You will find this option in the middle column on the My Account page.
- If you cannot find it, click on Personal info & privacy at the top. Then look for this option in the left-hand navigation panel.

Click on the GO TO ACTIVITY CONTROLS link. This blue text appears under the Activity controls section on the right side of the screen, leading you to the Activity controls page.

Toggle the Web & App Activity switch to the off position. When enabled, the switch will be blue. You will need to confirm this action in a pop-up window.

Click the PAUSE button in the pop-up window. This will confirm your action and disable the Web & App Activity toggle. The switch will turn grey, and Chrome will stop saving browsing and search data on your Google account.
Advice
- Try using Incognito Mode if you don't want your browsing history to be saved on your computer. Pages you visit in Incognito Mode will not appear in your browser history.
Warning
- There is no option to disable browsing history in the Chrome app. While you can stop saving history on your Google account, Chrome will always record your browsing history on your computer.
