How to Downgrade Firefox to an Older Version

Mytour will show you how to restore a previous version of the Firefox browser. You can downgrade Firefox on both Windows and Mac computers, but this process is not available for mobile apps.

Visit the Firefox Installation Guide page. This page provides details on how to download older versions of Firefox. Since the link to the older version page is frequently updated, be sure to access it from here.

Scroll down to the section "I still want to downgrade". This option can be found in the lower half of the page.

Click on Directory of Other Versions and Languages (Directory for additional versions and languages). This link is located under the yellow Firefox warning box within the section "I still want to downgrade". After clicking, a list of all Firefox versions will appear.

Select the version number. Click on the version number on the page to access that specific Firefox version's download page.

• For example: if you click on 45.1.0esr/, you will be directed to the download page for Firefox version 45.1.0.

Choose the folder for your operating system. Since the folders here aren't clearly labeled, you need to look out for these clues to identify the folder for your system:

• For Windows PCs – Look for "win32/" (32-bit Windows) or "win64/" (64-bit Windows) in the link text. If you're unsure about your computer's bit version, check here first.
• For Mac PCs – Look for "mac/" in the link text.

Select the language folder. The list on the page displays country-specific language codes. For instance, if you are using English in the United States, click on the "en-US/" folder.

Click the download link. The selected Firefox version will begin downloading to your computer.

• Depending on your browser settings, you may be prompted to confirm the download or choose a save location before the download starts.

• Note that downgrading to an older version may not necessarily resolve the issues you experienced with the latest version.
