Note: If you are in China, you will need to use a VPN to download this browser.
Steps
Download Chrome for PC/Mac/Linux

Go to the Google Chrome website. You can use any browser to download Google Chrome. If no browser is installed, you can use the default browser of your operating system (Internet Explorer for Windows and Safari for Mac OS X).

Click on “Download Chrome.” A window displaying the Terms of Service will appear.

Decide whether you want to set Chrome as your default browser. If you allow it to be the default, it will automatically open whenever you click on web links in other programs, such as email.
- You can opt to send usage data to Google by checking the box labeled “Help improve Google Chrome...” This will send crash reports, preferences, and button clicks. Personal information or the websites you visit will not be shared.

Click “Accept and Install” after reviewing the Terms of Service. The installer will launch, and Google Chrome will be installed once the process completes. Depending on your browser settings, you may need to grant permission for the program to run.

Sign in to Chrome. After installation, a Chrome window will open, displaying first-time setup information. You can log in with your Google account to sync bookmarks, settings, and browsing history across any Chrome browser. Explore tips for using Google Chrome to get the most out of your new browser.

Download the offline installer (optional). These steps are for installing Chrome on an internet-connected computer. If you need an offline installer for a computer without internet access, search for “chrome offline installer” using your preferred search engine and follow the first link to Chrome’s support page.
- There is a single-user installer and an installer for all users on the computer. Ensure you download the correct version for your needs.
- Once the installer is downloaded, transfer it to the target computer and follow standard installation procedures.
Download Chrome for Mobile Devices

Open your device’s app store. For Android, this is the Play Store, and for iOS, it’s the App Store. Chrome is available for Android 4.0 and above, as well as iOS 5.0 and above.

Search for Chrome. Ensure it is published by Google, Inc.

Install Chrome. Tap the Install button to begin downloading and installing the app. You may need to accept permissions before the installation proceeds.

Launch the app. When opening Chrome for the first time, you’ll be prompted to sign in with your Google account. This will sync your preferences, bookmarks, and browsing history across all versions of Chrome.
