How to Download and Install VLC Media Player

Visit the website VLC. Enter https://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html in your web browser on your computer.

Click on the Download VLC button (Download VLC). This orange button is located on the right side of the page.

Select a location to save if prompted. This step will allow the VLC installation file to be downloaded to your computer.

• The VLC file will automatically download, and if you are not asked to choose a download location, you can skip this step.

Double-click the VLC installation file you just downloaded. The file will be in the default download folder of your browser.

Click on the Yes button when prompted. The installation window will open.

Select a language. When prompted, click on the dropdown menu to choose the language you wish to use for VLC Media Player, then click OK to continue.

Click on Next three times. You will be redirected to the setup page.

Click on the Install option at the bottom of the page. VLC Media Player will begin installing on your computer.

Launch VLC Media Player. During installation, you can have VLC start automatically as soon as the process finishes by checking the "Run VLC media player" box, then clicking Finish.

Open the DMG file you just downloaded. Go to the folder where the browser saved the file and double-click the VLC DMG file. The installation window will appear.

Click and drag the VLC application icon into the "Applications" folder. The "Applications" folder is on the right side of the window, and the VLC traffic cone icon is on the left. VLC will begin the installation on your computer.

Launch VLC. The first time you open VLC after installation, follow these steps:

• Double-click the VLC application icon in the Applications folder.
• Wait for your Mac to verify VLC.
• Click Open when prompted.

Tap on the Search. This option is located in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Tap on the search bar. This is the gray text field located at the top, with the words "App Store" inside.

Search for VLC. Type vlc and then press the blue Search button on the bottom-right of the keyboard.

Enter your Touch ID or Apple ID password when prompted. Then, VLC will begin installing on your iPhone.

• You can open VLC immediately after the download by tapping the OPEN button on the App Store.

Tap on the search bar at the top of the screen. The virtual keyboard on your Android device will appear.

Go to the VLC page. Type vlc and tap VLC for Android from the dropdown menu of results.

Tap the INSTALL button on the right side of the page. VLC will begin the installation process on Android.
