This Mytour page will guide you on how to find and add apps to your Samsung Smart TV. You will also learn how to rearrange apps on the home screen and remove applications you no longer use.
Steps
Add Apps
Press the ⇱ Home button on your remote control. This action will open the home screen of your smart TV.
- If your TV is not connected to the internet, refer to the article How to Register Your Samsung Smart TV or other guides on setting up your Samsung Smart TV.
Select APPS (Applications). This is the icon with four circles located at the bottom of the screen. Use the navigation buttons on your remote to move to the correct position (near the bottom left corner).
Choose a category to browse. Some categories are displayed vertically at the bottom of the screen. Select a category you like to see which apps are available.
Select an app to learn more about it. You will see details about the app, including screenshots and related applications.
- If you are using a 2016 or 2017 TV model, you can choose the Open button to launch the app without adding it to the home screen.
Select Install (for newer models) or Add to Home (for older models). This will download the selected app and add it to your home screen.
- When launching the app from the home screen, you may be prompted to log in or create a new account. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Organize Apps on the Home Screen
Press the ⇱ Home button on your remote control. This action will open the home screen of your smart TV.
Navigate to the app you want to move. Use the directional buttons to highlight the application.
Press the Down button. A menu will expand below the app.
Select Move. The app is now ready to be relocated.
Move to the desired location for the app. Use the directional buttons to position the app where you want it.
Press the Select button on your remote control. The app icon will now appear in its new location.
Remove Apps
Press the ⇱ Home button on your remote. This will open the home screen of your smart TV.
Select APPS (Applications). This is the icon with four circles at the bottom of the screen. Use the navigation buttons on your remote to move to the correct position (near the bottom left corner).
Choose Settings or Options. The options you see will vary depending on your smart TV model.
- If you are using a 2016 model, select the Delete button directly.
Select the application you wish to remove. Several options will appear below the app's icon.
- If you are using the 2016 version, choose Done.
Click on Delete. A confirmation message will be displayed.
Select Delete (for newer models) or OK (for older models). This action will remove the application from your TV.
