This wiki page will walk you through the steps to download and install Fortnite on your Chromebook. First, you'll need to set up your Chromebook for Play Store downloads and install a file management app before installing Fortnite.
Steps
Set Up Chromebook

Click on the time section in the bottom-right corner. You can find the clock in the bottom-right corner of your Chromebook’s screen. This will open a pop-up menu.

Select Turn on next to "Install apps and games from Google Play on your Chromebook." This option can be found under the "Google Play Store" section in the settings menu. A pop-up window will appear.
- If you don't see this option, make sure your Chromebook is updated to the latest Chrome OS version.
- If it still doesn't appear after updating to the latest OS, Android apps will not work on your Chromebook.
Click on More in the pop-up window. You will be prompted to read and agree to Google's Terms of Service.

Click on I agree. Google Play on your Chromebook will be enabled. You can now download apps from the Play Store.

Click on the blue link App Settings under "Android Apps." This will open the app settings and options on a new page.

Click on Security in App Settings. Here, you can modify the security settings of your device.

Enable Unknown sources in Security. Click the Unknown sources option under Device administration and make sure this setting is marked as "Allow installation of apps from unknown sources."

Download a file management app from the Play Store. You can browse the Play Store categories or use the search bar at the top to find a file manager app.
- Any free or paid file manager app will work. Make sure to choose an app you like and trust before downloading it.
Download Fortnite

Launch your web browser. You can use the browser on your computer to access the internet.

Visit fortnite.com/android in your web browser. This link will automatically identify the most compatible Android beta version of Fortnite for your computer and direct you to the download page.

Scroll down and click the DOWNLOAD (TÄI XUÔNG) button, which is yellow. This will start the download of the Fortnite APK installation file to your computer.
- You can use this APK file to install the app.
- If the website is not functioning on your computer, try opening it from your Android phone or tablet, download the APK file on your Android device, and transfer it to your Chromebook via email, cloud storage, or flash drive.

Open the file manager app on your Chromebook. Locate and click on the file management app that you downloaded from the Play Store.

Find and select the Fortnite APK file in the file manager. You can navigate to the downloads folder here and click on the Fortnite APK file to select it.

Click the Install button in the file manager. This action will launch the selected APK file and begin the installation of the Fortnite app on your computer. You will be able to open and play the game once the installation is complete.
