Today, Mytour will show you how to install Windows Movie Maker on your Windows 10 computer. Although Microsoft has officially ended support for Windows Movie Maker and other Windows Essentials programs since 2012, it is still possible to download and install Windows Movie Maker.
Steps

Download the Windows Live Essentials installation file. Visit this website to begin downloading the installation file.
- The page may appear mostly empty, and the download may take anywhere from a few seconds to a minute to complete.

Open the installation file. Double-click the wlsetup-all file located in your default download folder to open it.

Click Yes when prompted. The Windows Essentials setup window will appear.

Click Install all of Windows Essentials (recommended) (Install all Windows Essentials programs). This option is located at the top of the page. While most Windows Essentials programs are not compatible with Windows 10, you can still install Windows Movie Maker by selecting this option.

Click Show Details (Show details). The progress bar and percentage will appear, indicating the installation progress of the program.

Wait for Windows Movie Maker to finish installing. The first program that gets installed is usually Windows Movie Maker. Allow the program to finish installing; once its name changes to another program (e.g., "Mail"), you can proceed.

Search for windows movie maker. The Windows Movie Maker application that you just installed will be found on your computer.

Click on Movie Maker. The application with the film reel icon appears at the top of the Start menu. The Windows Essentials Terms of Service window will pop up.

Click Accept (Accept). This option is located at the lower right corner of the window. Movie Maker will open after you click on it.
- If Movie Maker does not open after clicking Accept, reopen Start, type movie maker again, and click on the result for Movie Maker.
- Do not close the setup window before opening Movie Maker.

Close the Windows Essentials setup window. If the setup window appears with an error message, simply click Close and confirm your decision when prompted. Now you can start using Windows Movie Maker.
Warning
- As Windows 10 continues to receive updates and development, there might come a time when Windows Movie Maker freezes or becomes unresponsive. Make sure to save your work regularly.
- Microsoft has discontinued support for Windows Movie Maker, so any bugs or security issues will not be addressed. You might consider using Story Remix as an alternative.
