This article provides a detailed guide on downloading YouTube videos to either an iPhone or Android device. You can use apps linked to the "VidPaw" platform for this purpose on both iPhone and Android, or subscribe to the paid YouTube Red service to download videos directly from YouTube. However, certain videos, such as music videos, may not be downloadable.
Steps
On iPhone
Download the Documents 6 app.App Store
the URL of the YouTube video you want to download. While you cannot download music videos or YouTube Red movies, you can download other YouTube videos using the Documents app. First, obtain the video's URL by following these steps:
- Open YouTube
- Navigate to the video you wish to download
- Tap Share below the video
- Tap link

Open Documents 6. Press the iPhone's Home button to minimize the YouTube app, then tap on the Documents 6 app, which features a black, green, and yellow "D" on a white background.

Open the Documents 6 browser. Tap the compass icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen to do this.
- If the browser doesn't appear, swipe the compass icon to the right.

Go to https://www.vidpaw.com. Tap the address bar at the top of the screen, then enter vidpaw.com and tap the blue Go button on the iPhone keyboard.

Paste the YouTube video URL. Tap the input field in the middle of the page, tap it again when the iPhone keyboard appears, and select Paste from the displayed menu.

Tap Start. This is the blue button below the input field.

Tap Download. This is the button to the right of the highest quality option, displayed at the top of the page.

Tap Done when prompted. This option is located at the top-right corner of the screen. The YouTube video download process to your iPhone will begin immediately.

Open the Documents interface. Tap the folder icon at the bottom-left corner of the screen. A list of folders will appear.

Tap Downloads. This is the folder in the middle of the Documents page. The list of downloaded files will appear after tapping this option.

Play the video. Locate the video's title and thumbnail, then tap on it to view it within the Documents app. The video will play directly in Documents.
Move the video to your iPhone's Camera Roll.- This option is only available on iOS 11. If you're using an older iPhone, you won't be able to move the video.

- Open YouTube

Tap on the search bar. This option is located at the top of the screen.
Go to the VidPaw website. Tap the address bar at the top of the screen, then enter vidpaw.com and tap Enter or Go on the Android keyboard.

Paste the YouTube video URL. Tap the input field in the middle of the page, tap it again when the Android keyboard appears, and select Paste from the displayed menu.

Tap Start. This is the blue button next to the input field.

Tap Download. This is the option to the right of the highest quality setting, displayed at the top of the page.

Tap Done when prompted. This option is located at the top-right corner of the screen. The YouTube video download process to your Android device will begin immediately.

Open ES File Explorer. Close Google Chrome, then tap on the ES File Explorer app. This will open the ES File Explorer application.
- During your first use of ES File Explorer, you may need to swipe or tap through a few informational screens before reaching the home page.

Select the storage folder. Tap on SD Card or Internal, depending on your Android device's default storage location.

Tap Download. This folder is located in the middle of the page, but you may need to scroll down to find it.

Watch the video. Locate the video's title and thumbnail, then tap to open it in your Android's video app.

Move the video to your Android's Photos app. If you want to view the downloaded video in the Android Photos app instead of using ES File Explorer, follow these steps:
- Tap and hold the video thumbnail
- Tap ⋮ at a corner of the screen
- Tap Move to
- Select the Pictures folder
- Tap OK
Using YouTube Red

Open YouTube. Tap the YouTube app with the white triangle icon on a red background. The YouTube homepage will appear if you're already logged in.
- If you're not logged in, select your profile or tap SIGN IN, then enter your email address and/or password.

Tap the profile icon. This option is located at the top-right corner of the screen. The account menu will appear on the screen.

Tap Get YouTube Red. You'll find this option near the middle of the menu.

Tap TRY IT FREE. This is the blue button at the top-right corner of the screen.
- On iPhone, tap GET YOUTUBE RED, then enter your Apple ID or use Touch ID when prompted. Next, you can proceed to the "Select video" step.
Enter payment information. When prompted, select an existing payment method or tap Add a [method], such as Add a card, and enter the required details.

Enter your YouTube password. Tap the "Verify your password" field, then enter your Google account password.

Tap BUY. This option is located at the bottom of the screen. After entering your password and selecting the payment method, you'll receive one month of free YouTube Red access.
- YouTube Red typically costs $9.99 per month on Android (around 230,000 VND) and $12.99 per month on iPhone (around 295,000 VND).

Select a video. Find the video you want to download and tap on it. The video will start playing immediately.

Tap Download. This option is located below the video. On some versions of the YouTube app, you'll see a downward arrow icon. A menu will appear after this action.

Choose the quality. Tap on the desired quality (e.g., 720p) for the video you want to download.

Tap DOWNLOAD. This option is located below the menu. This action will download the YouTube video to your smartphone.

Watch videos without an internet connection. YouTube Red allows you to view downloaded videos offline. To do this, tap on Library, find the video under the "Available Offline" section, and tap on the video to watch it.
