If you want to learn how to draw a wolf, follow the steps in this guide:
Steps
Standing Wolf

Sketch the wolf's body using an oval shape.
- Draw an elongated oval, slightly resembling a bean, to form the wolf's body.
- Remember to use a pencil for the initial sketch so you can easily erase and refine later.

Sketch the joints and head.
- Draw a circle at one end of the bean shape to form the wolf's head.
- Create two overlapping circles to represent the joints of the hind legs, with one circle smaller to indicate a partially hidden leg.
- Add a slightly elongated circle near the chest area to outline the joints of the front legs.

Complete the neck and add ears.
- Draw two curved lines with pointed tips on top of the head for the ears. Unlike fox ears, wolf ears are smaller.
- For the neck (or nape), simply draw two gentle curves connecting the sides of the head to the bean-shaped body.

Draw the wolf's snout and legs.
- For the hind legs, sketch curved lines extending from the hind joints. These lines should curve outward toward the tail.
- For the front legs, add two bold lowercase "l" shapes. One leg is mostly hidden, so only a small portion of the other is visible.
- Add a small "U" shape on the head to form the snout.

Add eyes, tail, and complete the hind legs.
- For the eyes, draw two small teardrop shapes above the snout.
- Finish the hind legs by adding a shape similar to the previous one, but this time include the paw at the bottom.
- The tail is partially hidden behind the hind legs, so just add a long curved line at the end of the bean-shaped body.
- Now you have the basic framework of the wolf.

Use ink to trace over the sketch.
- Remember the overlapping shapes and hidden parts.
- Add curved, swirling lines to create the wolf's fur texture.
- The lines don’t need to be perfect or sharp, but they should look clean once the pencil marks are erased.

Erase the pencil sketch lines and add more intricate details.
- Incorporate features such as ears, eyes, mouth, nose, paws, claws, and the wolf's fur.
- You can also include additional strokes to emphasize the paws and fur texture.

Color your wolf drawing.
- Depending on the species, wolves exhibit various shades ranging from gray to brown, and even white.

Sketch the wolf's body using an oval shape as desired.
- Draw a long, bean-shaped oval to form the wolf's body.
- Ensure you use light pencil strokes for the outline so it can be easily erased later for a clean finish.

Add two more ovals to your drawing.
- One oval should be larger and longer, angled upwards to represent the wolf's neck and head.
- The second oval should be drawn at the opposite end of the body. This oval is longer, narrower, and positioned vertically to serve as the tail.

Sketch the wolf's snout and leg joints.
- Add a circle near the tail and another at the lower end of the upward-angled oval to represent the leg joints.
- Draw a smaller oval aligned with the neck/head oval.
- Include a teardrop shape below the snout to depict the wolf's jawline.

Add the wolf's ears and legs.
- This perspective shows only one ear. Draw a small rounded triangle with the pointed end facing away from the snout.
- Define the legs with lines below the joints. The hind leg should curve toward the tail.

Complete the wolf's legs.
- Add similar lines to outline the width of the legs. The paws should appear flat against the ground.
- Include another pair of legs behind the ones already drawn. These legs are partially visible, so only a small portion should peek out.

Draw the paws.
- Add two pairs of circles beneath the legs to represent the paws.
- Now you have the basic framework of the wolf drawing.

Use ink to trace over the sketch lines.
- Remember overlapping lines and hidden sections.
- Use curved, swirling strokes to depict the wolf's fur.
- The lines don’t need to be perfect or sharp but should look clean once the pencil marks are erased.

Erase pencil marks and enhance the drawing with additional details.
- Incorporate features such as ears, eyes, mouth, nose, paws, claws, and fur texture.
- You can also accentuate the paws and fur with more defined strokes.

Color the wolf in your drawing.
- Depending on the species, wolves typically range in shades from gray to brown, and sometimes even white.

Draw a circle. Add two pointed shapes on top of the circle for ears. Sketch the nose using curved lines.

Draw a circle below the head at a distance, then connect this circle to the head with curved lines to form the wolf's body.

Sketch three straight lines for the front legs and two half-moon shapes for the front paws. Add another half-moon shape to represent the hind paw.

Draw a crescent shape to create the wolf's tail, curving it upward.

Add details to the wolf's face. Use an egg shape for the eyes, including a small circle for the pupils. Draw a curved line for the eyebrows and a circle at the tip of the nose. Add tiny circles beside the nose and curved lines to depict sharp fangs.

Draw the wolf's head and create fur using curved strokes.

Complete the rest of the wolf's body. Add a few strokes on the chest to mimic fur and diagonal lines on the paws to define the toes.

Remove any unnecessary lines from the drawing.

Add color to the illustration.
Simple wolf drawing

Draw a circle to form the head. Add two triangular shapes on top of the circle for the ears. Sketch a curved line in front of the circle to create the protruding nose and a diagonal line extending from the circle down to the nose.

Draw a circle for the neck and another one for the wolf's body.

Sketch the wolf's legs using a combination of curved and straight lines.

Add the tail to the wolf's hindquarters with curved lines.

Enhance the wolf's facial features. Draw two almond shapes with a small circle inside for the eyes. Create the nose using a circular shape. Illustrate the mouth and sharp teeth.

Draw the wolf's head using short, slanted strokes to mimic its fur.

Complete the rest of the wolf's body with slanted strokes to represent its fur. Add a few lines on the paws to define the toes.

Add soft, slanted strokes to certain areas of the wolf's body, especially where shadows fall.

Erase any unnecessary lines.

Color the drawing.
