Are you running low on LP (Lifestyle Points) and Simoleons in The Sims FreePlay? These essential currencies allow you to purchase the best items in the game, but earning them requires some effort. If you’re open to shortcuts, there are methods to quickly accumulate large amounts of money or LP on iOS and Android. For those who prefer playing by the rules, there are also plenty of ways to maximize your earnings. Check out Step 1 below to get started.
Steps
Complete Tasks and Activities

Keep your Sims inspired. Inspired Sims earn more money when completing tasks. You can inspire your Sims by fulfilling their needs. Tap on a Sim and observe their need meters. If a Sim is hungry, grab food from the fridge. If they’re unhappy, relax by watching TV or playing on the computer. If their social meter is low, try adopting a pet, chatting with other Sims on the phone, or meeting them in person.
- You can quickly boost a Sim’s energy by having them drink Espresso. Regular consumption of this coffee can even eliminate the need for sleep!
- When interacting with other Sims, being humorous is the best way to maximize their social meter.
- Use LP to purchase cupcakes for instant inspiration or spend Simoleons on Cocktails at the nightclub.

Bake and sell cakes for profit. Purchase an oven to start baking cookies or pancakes. As your baking skills improve, you can even create chocolate cakes! While this method requires time and patience, it’s worthwhile as it also rewards you with LP.

Use your Sim’s dog to dig up money and LP. Reward your dog after it digs up LP to encourage more discoveries. You can buy a bone for 2 LP to speed up the process.
- Higher-priced pets are more likely to find money and LP faster.
- If your dog isn’t digging, have a toddler play with it or let a teen Sim praise it. Repeat this twice to trigger digging behavior, which often yields rewards. Repeat the process for more gains.

Send your Sims to work. Regular work allows your Sims to earn money and save up. Consistent work leads to promotions, increasing both income and experience points (XP) over time.
- Working regularly also helps you achieve in-game goals.
Grow vegetables. The type of vegetable you plant determines your earnings. Overnight, assign your idle Sims to garden. After 7-8 hours of gardening, you’ll wake up to significant earnings and XP. Ensure your Sims are inspired, as this boosts their earnings by 50%.
- Try planting bell peppers—they’re free, grow in 30 seconds, and are ready to sell!
- Dedicate a plot in your town for gardening. Build at least one garden on a lot with Sims and inspire them to work collectively.

Focus on improving skills and hobbies. Purchase the Community Center at the top-left corner of the town map. Engage in hobbies like fashion design, ghost hunting, and ice skating to earn rewards. Completing collections can also grant you significant bonuses.

Compete at the Competition Center. Earn extra LP or experience points by participating in events at the Competition Center, introduced in the Supernatural update. Choose from activities like ballet, karate, or ghost hunting. Select a Sim to compete for the next 12 hours. Improve your skills to achieve higher rankings and unlock greater rewards over time.

Double your baking output. If you’re baking time-consuming items and need quick cash, using two ovens can be a game-changer. Avoid expensive ovens unless you’re wealthy, as they don’t speed up baking.

Drive for rewards. Driving vehicles can earn you money and LP. Quick tapping during the rhythm-based mini-game boosts earnings, while LP rewards are luck-based.

Clean up after your Sims. If a Sim doesn’t use the bathroom, their pants will get wet. Washing them earns you points. Alternatively, shake a device to make a Sim dizzy and vomit, then clean up the mess for extra points. Use this method sparingly to avoid device issues.

Save money and LP wisely. Be a smart spender. Avoid purchasing items you won’t use. Just like in real life, this strategy helps you save significantly.
- Reuse items whenever possible. Store the crib immediately after a baby is born so other couples can reuse it, saving you from buying a new one.
- Save LP for essential tasks. Some missions require LP, and completing them often refunds part of the cost. Don’t risk being unable to progress due to poor LP management.
- Avoid overspending real money in-game. Patience can earn you virtual currency without forming unhealthy spending habits.

Watch promotional videos. Navigate to the purple cart section and click on the Free button located at the top left corner. You'll find various programs or short videos that reward you with 1 LP upon viewing. While the rewards are modest, the constantly updated selection allows you to earn LP effortlessly.

Engage on social media. The Sims FreePlay Facebook page frequently hosts special offers and giveaways. By liking their page, you'll receive updates on new events. This method can help you earn money, LP, and other in-game items.
Progress and Level Up

Level up. Advancing levels in Sims FreePlay increases your LP and money earnings. Achieve this by building strong relationships with virtual characters, such as becoming their best friend or romantic partner. This strategy accelerates your progress and unlocks time-intensive tasks. Additionally, leveling up allows you to construct homes, businesses, and workplaces, enhancing your property value and income.

Complete objectives. Sims FreePlay features numerous goals covering various game aspects, from helping virtual characters find jobs to building businesses and collecting taxes. Accomplishing these objectives rewards you with money, experience points, and LP. Since game objectives frequently update, strive to complete as many as possible.

Boost your town's value. The higher your town's value, the more LP you can earn. Increase this value by constructing additional homes, businesses, and workplaces. Invest in high-end furniture and various other items to enhance the overall worth of your property.
Cheat on iOS

Download alternative game save data. Replace your current game save data on your device with a new save file containing 100,000,000 in-game currency and 88,888,888 LP. Note that this will erase your existing progress, requiring you to start the game anew.

Install iFunBox on your computer. This file management tool allows you to access files on your iOS device without jailbreaking. You can download iFunBox for free from the developer's site. Alternatively, you can use other file managers like iFile or DiskAid.

Connect your device to your computer via USB. Ensure iTunes is closed if it's currently running.

Begin using iFunBox. Expand the Application (Apps/Games) section in the Folder View mode on the left side of the screen. Double-click on the Sims FreePlay game.

Open the Documents folder. Inside this folder, you will find the "savegames" directory (game save data). Right-click on the folder and select "Delete." You can also copy this folder to your computer to keep a backup.

Open the replacement game save ZIP file. Within the ZIP file, you will likely see a "savegames" folder. Click and drag this folder into the Documents folder in iFunBox.

Launch Sims FreePlay. After opening the game, if you followed the steps correctly, you should now have 100,000,000 in-game currency and 88,888,888 LP!
- Note: This method will break the engagement ring. If you wish to use this type of ring, you need to back up your new game save data to iCloud, delete The Sims FreePlay, and then restore the backup save data.
Cheating on Android

Download an alternative APK. An APK file is the Android package format used for all Android games and apps. You can download a hacked (modified) Sims FreePlay APK from various websites, such as Piratebay. You may need to learn how to use Torrent to download this file.

Transfer the APK file to your phone. Connect your phone to your computer via USB and copy the APK file to the root directory of your phone. Alternatively, you can email the APK file to yourself and download the attachment directly to your phone.
- If you copy the APK to your phone, you’ll need a file manager app like ES File Explorer to access it.

Enable installation from Unknown Sources. To allow your phone to install apps outside the Google Play Store, you’ll need to adjust your settings to permit installations from unknown sources.
- Open Settings, tap on Security, and check the box for "Unknown Sources."

Uninstall the original Sims FreePlay game. To install a modified version, you must first remove the original game. Note that this will erase your current game progress.
- You can uninstall the game from the Application menu in Settings. Find Sims FreePlay in the list and select Uninstall.

Install the APK file. If you’ve copied the APK to your phone’s root directory, open your file manager app and locate the APK file. Tap on it to begin the installation.
- If you emailed the APK to yourself, open the email on your phone, download the attachment, and tap on the downloaded file in your notifications to start the installation.

Launch the game. Once the installation is complete, open the game. You might need to download additional data right at the start. You'll notice that you now have an abundance of money and LP. Be aware that you might encounter some errors during gameplay and occasionally face issues logging into Facebook.
Tips
- Purchase bulk free items and sell them in the new update. This way, you can earn a lot of money.
- Avoid selling too many items as it will lower your town's value.
- Let your virtual character indulge in fashion design. Click on the glowing bulb to earn extra money and experience points.
- Ensure your virtual character always has tasks. Regularly check your town's status.
- To quickly upgrade relationships, have as many virtual characters as possible, ensuring they are not best friends or married. Visit the club and dance. This is easier than upgrading each relationship individually.
- Higher-star items help complete actions faster.
- Don't waste money on high-star ovens; they look better but don't bake any faster.
- Control the dog to dig up money.
- Plant Simoleon Sprouts. No matter how you plant them, you always earn at least 250 more virtual money than you spend.
- Let virtual characters work while you're away. When you return, have them perform tasks and plant money-making items. Simoleon Sprouts yield every 4 hours. Collect daily earnings from the mailbox. Create more virtual characters to work more and earn more. Avoid cheating. Buy dogs and cats.
- Earn money, LP, and SP by not playing the game for a long time, like a month. After this period, you'll earn money, LP, even SP, and inspire your virtual characters. This isn't cheating.
- Click on the cart and then Free to earn more LP. Be cautious as sometimes you might get nothing!
Warnings
- Don't waste time having virtual characters hug or kiss. You earn the same experience points as dancing. A little romance is enough.
- If you sell items, you only get back 10% of the money spent and it lowers your town's value. Try not to sell items. Keep them in storage as you might need them later.
- Don't let any virtual character be unemployed. Go to work on time, meet requirements for promotions, and earn more money.
- When searching for ghosts, fishing, designing, or collecting medals at the Swimming Center, don't use the Lucky Spin! You'll lose 3 LP and might not get a ghost, fish, design set, or new medal.
- Don't let virtual characters become too tired! When you sleep, let them sleep if they're not working so they fully recover by the next morning.
