1. Simple steps to back up your Google contacts
Step 1: Open your web browser and go to Google Contacts, then log into your Google account.
Step 2: If you want to back up one or more contacts from Google Contacts, click on the avatar next to the contact's name. Then, click the three vertical dots icon at the top and select Export.
If you'd like to back up all contacts in your list, click the Export icon at the top of the contacts page.
Step 3: In the Export contacts section, choose the format you'd like to export and then click Export.
Step 4: A Save As window will appear, where you can select the backup folder and click Save.
2. Restore contacts from a backup
To restore your contacts from a Google Contacts backup, follow these steps:
Step 1: On the logged-in Google Contacts interface, select Import.
Step 2: The 'Import Contacts' section will appear, where you need to click on 'Select File'.
Step 3: Select the backup file in either .csv or .vcf format and click 'Open'.
Step 4: Click on 'Import'. This will quickly restore your Google Contacts from the backup file.
3. Restore Google Contacts
Step 1: Open your web browser and visit Google Contacts (Google Contacts) at https://contacts.google.com/, then log in to your Google account.
Step 2: Click on the Settings icon, which looks like a gear, in the top right corner and select Undo changes.
Step 3: A section called Undo changes will appear, where you can choose the date range for restoring your contacts and then click Proceed.
Your contacts will be restored to the state they were in on the chosen date.
II. How to backup and restore Google Contacts on your phone
If you want to back up or restore your Google Contacts on the Android Google Contacts app, follow these steps:
1. Back up Google Contacts
Step 1: Open the Contacts app on your phone, then select Sort on the interface.
Step 2: Select Export to file, then choose one or more accounts to export your contacts and click Export.
Step 3: Rename the backup file for your contacts as a .vcf file and click Save. This will create a backup of your Google Contacts with ease.
2. Restore Google Contacts from a file
Step 1: Open the Contacts app, then select Sort on the interface.
Step 2: Select Import from file, then choose the location where you have saved the imported contacts.
Step 3: Choose the backup file for your contacts that you wish to restore, and you will easily restore your Google Contacts from the backup file.
