There are several ways to enable comments on YouTube videos. You can set comments to be enabled by default or choose to enable them only for specific videos. Today, Mytour will guide you through how to enable comments on YouTube.
Steps
Enable Comments by Default on a Computer
Go to YouTube Studio. Open your preferred web browser and visit the YouTube Studio website.

Log in (if necessary). If you're not logged in yet, you'll be prompted to do so right away. Enter your email and password, then click Next in the lower right corner to access your account.

Click on Settings in the menu located at the bottom left. This option is next to the gear icon.

Click on Upload defaults. This option is located in the left menu of the Settings pop-up window.

Navigate to Advanced settings. This tab is located at the top of the Settings pop-up window.

Click on the dropdown menu Comment Visibility. Scroll down in the Advanced Settings section until you see the bolded "Comments" title. Below it is the rectangular Comment Visibility button. When you click on it, another dropdown menu will appear.

Click on Allow all comments. This is the first option in the dropdown menu.

Save the settings. Click the Save button located at the bottom right of the Settings pop-up window to save your changes.
Enable comments for specific videos on your computer.

Go to YouTube Studio. Open your preferred web browser and visit the YouTube Studio website.

Log in (if necessary). If you're not logged in yet, you'll be prompted to do so immediately. Enter your email and password, then click Next at the bottom right to log in to your account.

Click on Content (Content) located in the left menu. This option is represented by a square icon with an inner triangle.

Click on the video thumbnail. A list of video titles along with their thumbnails will appear. Choose the video for which you want to enable comments.
- The thumbnail is a rectangular image showing a preview of the video screen.

Click on Show More (Show More). You can find this blue link by scrolling down in the main section under the “Video Details” heading.

Click on the dropdown menu Comment Visibility. Scroll further until you see the bolded title "Comments and ratings." Directly beneath this heading, you'll find the Comment Visibility button. Clicking on this will trigger a dropdown menu.

Click on Allow all comments. This is the first option in the dropdown menu.

Save your settings. Click on the Save button located at the top-right corner to store your settings.
Enable comments on mobile devices

Open the YouTube Studio app. On your mobile device, tap to open the YouTube Studio app.

Tap on Content. This option features a square icon with a triangle inside and is located near the middle of the menu.
Tap on the Videos option, located at the top-left corner, above the three horizontal lines icon.

Click on a specific video. Scroll down to locate the video you want to enable comments on. Once found, click on it to open the video details.

Click on the pencil icon in the top-right corner.

Go to the Advanced Settings tab. This tab, which features a rectangular icon with a gear inside, is located at the top-right corner.

Activate the Allow Comments switch. Scroll within the Advanced Settings tab until you see the bolded title “Comments.” The Allow Comments button will be directly below this title. Click it to enable comments. At this point, the switch will turn blue.

Save your settings. Click the Save button in the top-right corner to store your settings.
