Mytour will walk you through how to find Facebook's IP address, which reveals the physical location of its server.
Steps
On Windows

Right-click the Start icon at the bottom left corner of most Windows computers. A menu with quick access options will appear.
- You can also press ⊞ Win+X to open this menu.

Click on Command Prompt. This application has a black window icon; Command Prompt will open once clicked.
- If Command Prompt doesn’t appear in the menu, type “command prompt” in the Start menu search bar and click on Command Prompt at the top of the search results.
- You may not be able to open Command Prompt on shared or networked computers (such as in schools or workplaces).

Type ping www.facebook.com -t into Command Prompt. Although there is no specific input field, the text will appear in the Command Prompt window as you type.
- Ensure you don’t enter any extra characters or spaces.

Press ↵ Enter. The command will execute, and Facebook’s address will appear. A series of numbers, like "12.34.56.78", will show up; this is Facebook's IP address.
On Mac

Open the Spotlight search bar. Click the magnifying glass icon in the top-right corner of your screen.

Type Terminal into the search bar. The application will appear below the search bar as you type.

Click the Terminal icon with the white ">_" symbol in the top-left corner of the black window.

Type ping facebook.com into the Terminal. This command will request the IP address from Facebook.
- Make sure you don’t input any extra characters or spaces.

Press ⏎ Return. The Terminal command will be entered and then display Facebook’s IP address.

View Facebook's IP address. The number displayed to the right of the text “[Number] bytes from” (excluding the last colon) is Facebook’s IP address.
- For example, the IP address might be something like "12.34.56.78" or similar.
