Do you want to find videos with open licenses on YouTube to support your learning, teaching, and research in an educational environment, or to create your own collections by reusing, modifying, editing, or customizing them? This guide is for you, with the help of the Creative Commons search tool.
Steps
Introducing the Creative Commons Search Tool

Access the tool. To use the Creative Commons search tool, visit: http://search.creativecommons.org/
Components- Box 1: use for commercial purposes: If you want the search results to be usable for commercial purposes, check this box. Otherwise, uncheck it.
- Box 2: modify, adapt or build upon: If you want the search results to be modifiable, adaptable, and allow derivative works based on the original image, check this box. Otherwise, leave it unchecked.
- Creative Commons licensed videos on YouTube are only available under one license: Creative Commons Attribution, or CC BY (see article Change YouTube's standard license to a CC BY license for videos on YouTube). Therefore, to find Creative Commons licensed videos on YouTube, you should check both of the above boxes.

Start searching and receive results

Start your search. Enter your search term in the 'Enter Your Search Query' field. For example, if you're looking for children's music, type that into the field and press Enter.

Returned results. You will see a list of videos that include the term children's music in their titles as the search results.
Select a video you like, check its license, and download it

Select a video you like. From the list of returned videos, choose the one you prefer, for example, the song Bài hát thiếu nhi TUYỆT NHẤT " Bada talk "giúp trẻ thông minh | ohohtv. Right-click on it and open it in a new tab of your browser.

Check the license of the selected video. The description line at the bottom of the video will indicate the license of the selected video. You will see that the selected video is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution license - abbreviated as CC BY. This license allows you to reuse, modify, cut, adapt, and customize the video as you wish.
Recommendations
- To comply with the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons Attribution license, whenever you reference the use of these open-licensed videos on YouTube, you should do the following: (1) Give credit to the original author by creating a backlink to the video; and (2) create a link to the Creative Commons Attribution license just like the link you see here.
