Introducing the SoundCloud Platform
Visit the SoundCloud homepage. Head over to SoundCloud's main page at: https://soundcloud.com/.
Introduction to SoundCloud. According to Wikipedia: SoundCloud is a global online audio distribution platform headquartered in Berlin, Germany, enabling its users to upload, record, promote, and share their original music and sounds. SoundCloud's content is evenly split between music and other audio formats. This article focuses solely on searching and selecting content from the search results.
SoundCloud's Search Tool. Right at the top center of SoundCloud's interface is the search bar. By default, it displays a faint placeholder text: Search for artists, bands, tracks, podcasts. This is where you enter keywords to search for artists, bands, music channels, or audio recordings.

Select a track to play directly from the search results page. You can choose to play a track immediately by clicking the circular yellow arrow button next to each title. This is the Play button, similar to what you see on audio players. Click the arrow of the track you want to listen to, and it will start playing right on the results page. Once the track begins, the button will change to a Pause button, like those on audio players. At the bottom of the screen, you'll also find familiar audio player controls, such as: (1) rewind to the start, (2) play/pause, and (3) fast forward to the end. If the selected file is playing, listener comments will appear below the soundwave timeline.
Select a track and open it in a new browser window to listen. You can right-click on the title to open the selected track in a new browser window. Then, follow the same steps as above to play the file. On this page, you can find additional details about the selected track. It's a great way to explore more information about the content.
