With a square piece of paper and a bit of patience, you can fold a 3D ball or cube, then inflate it into a small balloon. In fact, you can even fill the balloon with water and create a "water bomb"!
Steps
Create the Wings

Fold the square paper along both diagonals in the middle. The folds will form an "X" shape on the paper.
- You can also add decorative designs to the outer side of the paper, which will appear once you fold it.

Fold the paper in half. Fold the paper by bringing the bottom and top edges together.
Fold the top-right corner in as instructed. Do the same with the other corner to form a triangle. Crease the folds firmly.
Fold the wings towards the top of the triangle. Flip the paper to the other side and do the same to form a diamond shape.
Tuck the wings into the crease gaps
Fold the right and left corners towards the center of the diamond. Flip the paper to the other side and repeat the same fold.
Tuck the loose wings into the folds you just created. Fold a small triangle at the end of each loose wing and then tuck them into the creases. Do this for all four wings.
- If you find it difficult to tuck the wings into the creases, use tape to secure them in place.
- You can also use a pencil to gently open the creases, preventing damage to the wings.
Flip the folded paper to the side without any wings or folds. You'll see a small hole in the center top of the four wings.
Breathe into the small hole. The balloon needs to be inflated—just make sure the creases are tightly tucked.
- You may also need to loosen the folds slightly to make the balloon rounder.
- To create a water balloon, you can slowly pour water into the balloon through the small hole until it's full.
Tips
- When tucking the wings into the creases, you don't need to tuck them all the way to the edge. It's fine to only tuck half of the wing.
- If you don't make a perfect balloon on your first few tries, don't worry. Simply grab a new piece of paper and try again.
Warning
- When throwing a water bomb, be careful not to throw it at someone's face as it could cause serious injury.
- Be cautious to avoid cutting your hands on the paper edges.
