Best Way to Regain Access to Your Bumble Account After a Ban
If you think your Bumble account was banned by mistake, contact their support team and submit an appeal through their Contact page. Be sure to explain the situation clearly and include any screenshots that back up your story. If your appeal is denied, try creating a new account with a different email, phone number, or payment method.
Procedure
Filing an Appeal for Your Blocked Account

Contact Bumble's support team. If you believe your account was mistakenly blocked, you may be able to get it unblocked by reaching out to Bumble's support. Visit their Contact page to submit an appeal.
- Select Report a technical issue from the subject list, then choose Other under Choose a service.
- Fill in any required details on the form, such as your name, email address, Bumble mode, and the platform you're using to access Bumble.

Clarify why you believe you should be unblocked. At the bottom of the contact form, you'll have the chance to explain what was happening when the issue occurred and provide further details about your request. The more information you include, the easier it will be for Bumble’s support team to review your appeal.
- For example, you might write, “I received a message stating my account was blocked when I logged in this morning. After reviewing the community guidelines, I’m confident I haven’t broken any rules, so I believe this might have been an error. Could you please reactivate my account? Thank you.”

Attach a screenshot to strengthen your case, if possible. This step is optional, but providing a screenshot could help show that the block was a mistake. To upload a screenshot, click the + button under Attach a screenshot (optional) in Step 3 of the contact form.
- For example, if you were blocked after an argument with another user and have screenshots of the conversation, you could use them to back up your appeal.

Be patient while awaiting Bumble's support team’s reply. Some users report that it can take up to a month for customer support to respond. In the meantime, try to remain patient—sending multiple requests will make it less likely for your account to be unblocked.
Resetting Your Account

Consider resetting your account if your ban appeal fails. While resetting your Bumble account can be a way around a block, it technically goes against Bumble's terms and conditions. You should only use this option if your appeal to support is denied, but be aware that you might be banned again if detected.
- There are no consequences for deleting an old Bumble account and creating a new one. However, if you frequently delete and recreate your account, you could be shadowbanned (meaning your profile won't show up to other users).

Cancel your Bumble Boost subscription, if applicable. If you are subscribed to Bumble Boost, make sure to cancel it before deleting your account to avoid an automatic renewal charge. Depending on how you signed up, here are the steps:
- If you subscribed through the Apple app store, go to Settings on your phone, tap your Apple ID, then open Subscriptions. Locate Bumble Boost in your list of subscriptions, tap on it, and select Cancel Subscription.
- If you subscribed via Google Play, open the Google Play Store app and go to Subscriptions from the main menu. Find Bumble in your list of subscriptions, select it, and tap Cancel.
- If you subscribed directly through the Bumble app on Android, open the app, tap the menu icon in the top-left corner, select the Bumble Boost icon under your profile, and tap Manage your subscription. Then, select Cancel.
- If you signed up through Bumble Web, log into the Bumble website, click your profile picture in the top-left corner, and select Manage your Boost. Click Unsubscribe beneath your subscription details.

Delete your account via the Bumble app. Open the Bumble app and locate the Profile icon at the bottom-left corner of the screen. Tap the gear icon at the top-right of your profile, scroll down, and select Delete account. Follow the prompts to finish deleting your account.
- If you're having trouble, you can submit a request using Bumble’s Contact form. Choose Request my data from the subject options and state that you want to delete your account. Please note it may take several weeks for Bumble to process your request.

Unlink Bumble from your Facebook account. If you signed up for Bumble using Facebook, you will need to unlink it from your Facebook account as well. To do this, log into Facebook, go to the Account menu, select Settings & Privacy, and then Settings. Scroll down to Apps and Websites and find Bumble in the list of apps. Click Remove to disconnect Bumble from your Facebook account.

Sign up again using completely new login details. Once your account is deleted, it can't be reactivated, so you will need to create a new one. To avoid getting blocked again, wait at least 24 hours before signing up with any of the following methods:
- Sign up with a different email address or use a new Facebook account.
- Use a new phone number if you choose the Use mobile number option.
- Create an account on a different device or use a VPN to change your IP address.
- Delete the metadata of your original profile photos or slightly alter them to avoid detection by Bumble’s algorithm (and prevent being banned again).
- Enter different payment details if you used a credit card previously. Consider using Apple Pay or PayPal as an alternative payment method.
How to Avoid Future Blocks

Show respect to other users. Bumble takes harassment and inappropriate behavior seriously. A key way to prevent getting blocked is to interact respectfully with others. This means:
- Refrain from personal attacks, threats, or body shaming.
- Avoid using hate speech, offensive language, or slurs.
- Be mindful of your matches' boundaries and always ask for consent before sending any sexual content.

Make your messages personal for each match. Sending the same message to everyone increases your chances of being reported as spam. Instead, put effort into crafting unique, engaging icebreakers for every new match—this will help create a genuine connection!

Avoid self-promotion and soliciting. Using Bumble to sell products or promote your social media is a surefire way to get blocked. Stick to the purpose of Bumble: to connect with people for dating, friendship, or professional networking.
- Asking for money, selling products or services, and promoting subscription-based services are prohibited on Bumble.
- It’s fine to link to your social media profiles, but don't push them on your matches. To create a great Bumble profile, write a unique bio, upload high-quality photos, and have a trusted friend review it.

Avoid engaging in illegal activities. This one is obvious, but it’s essential to follow the law when using Bumble. Engaging in illegal actions will almost certainly get you blocked.
- This includes activities such as asking for drugs, targeting minors, cyberstalking, or engaging in prostitution.

Don't create new accounts repeatedly. While Bumble allows you to delete your account and create a new one, doing this too frequently could lead to being flagged as a bot or spammer. It's best to use the same account for all your Bumble activity.
- If you need a break, consider using the Snooze feature instead of deleting your account. Simply go to Settings, tap Snooze, and choose how long you want to take a break from the app.
-
In some cases, being blocked on Bumble may not be your fault—another user might misinterpret your message and report you for being offensive or inappropriate. If this happens and you can't recover your account, your best option is to switch to a new device or try other dating apps.
