Today, Mytour will show you how to hide your phone number from public view on Facebook. This process is not the same as completely deleting your phone number.
Steps
Using the Facebook App
Launch the Facebook app. The app features a white "F" on a blue background. If you're already logged in, your News Feed will open.
- If you aren't logged in, enter your email address (or phone number) and tap Log In.
Tap the ☰ button located at the bottom-right corner (iPhone) or top-right corner (Android).
Tap your name. Your name appears at the top of the menu. Tapping it will open your profile page.
Scroll down and tap About. This section is located below the information displayed under your profile picture.
Tap Contact Info. This option is found under the profile information list at the top of the page. The "Mobile Phone" section will be listed below.
Scroll down and tap the Edit option next to the "Contact Info" section. The location of this option varies depending on your Facebook profile details, but it is generally found above the "Basic Info" section.
Tap the box to the right of your phone number. The phone number will be at the top of the page, just below the "Mobile Phones" heading.
Select Only me. This option is near the bottom of the pop-up menu. After selecting Only me, you can still use Facebook Messenger while keeping your phone number hidden.
- You may need to tap More Options ... to see the Only me setting.
Using the Facebook Website
Go to the Facebook website. If you're already logged in, your News Feed will open.
- If you aren't logged in, enter your email address (or phone number) in the top-right corner of the screen and click Log In.
Click on your name at the top-right corner of the Facebook page.
Click on the About section located below your cover photo.
Hover your mouse over the phone number. This option is found at the top-right of the "About" page.
Click on Edit your contact and basic info. This option will appear when you hover over the phone number.
Click the Edit link to the right of the phone number. The Edit button won't appear until you hover over the "Mobile Phones" section.
Click the lock icon located directly below the phone number.
Click on Only me. This option is located in the dropdown menu that appears. This way, your phone number will remain on your profile for you to continue using Facebook Messenger, but only you will be able to see it.
- You may need to click ▼ More Options at the bottom of the dropdown menu first to see the Only me option.

- You should regularly check if these settings have changed from their previous state.
