Today, Mytour will guide you on how to host another live streamer's Twitch channel on your own. The Host mode enables your viewers to watch another channel without leaving the current chat room. This is an excellent method to share and promote favorite content with friends, as well as to engage your community without needing to be online.
Steps
Stream Twitch on a Computer
Visit https://www.twitch.tv using a web browser. You can use any web browser on a Windows or Mac computer.
- If you are not logged in, click on "Log In" at the top right corner and sign into your Twitch account.
- If you do not have an account, click on "Sign Up" at the top right corner to create a new one.
Click on the username located at the top right corner of the Twitch website. A dropdown menu will appear.
Select Channel (Channel). Your channel along with the chat room will appear on the right side.
Type /host followed by a channel name in the chat box. For instance, to stream the main Twitch channel, enter /host twitch in your chat box. The chat room will remain active on your channel, but all views will be counted towards the hosted channel's viewership.
- To stop hosting this channel, type /unhost in the chat room.
Stream Twitch on your phone
Launch the Twitch app. The app is purple with a speech bubble icon and two straight lines.

Enter the username (or email) and password associated with your Twitch account (if you are not already logged in).
Tap on your profile picture. On Android, this is located at the top right corner. For iPhone and iPad, you’ll find it at the top left. Options related to your profile and content will appear.
Select the Chat (Chat) tab. This is the fourth tab below your profile picture at the top of the screen. The channel’s chat box will appear.
Type /host followed by a channel name in the chat box. For example, if you want to stream the main Twitch channel, enter /host twitch in the chat box. Viewers on your channel will start watching the channel you are hosting. The chat room will remain active on your channel, but all views will be counted toward the hosted channel.
- To stop hosting this channel, type /unhost in the chat box.
