Today, Mytour will walk you through the process of installing the Kodi media player on your Amazon Fire Stick (Amazon's TV entertainment device). You'll be able to use Kodi on your Fire TV. Before you install Kodi, you need to allow installation from unknown sources, as this may increase the risk of accidentally downloading unsupported or harmful applications.
Steps
Allow Kodi on TV

Turn on Fire TV. The Amazon Fire TV home screen will load.

Scroll up and select the Settings option (Settings). This is one of the five tabs located on the right side of the main screen. The Settings menu will open.

Scroll up and select the Applications option (Applications). The Applications menu will open.

Select Collect App Usage Data (Collect app usage data). This option is located at the top of the Applications menu. A window will pop up.

Select Turn Off (Turn Off) when prompted.

Return to the Settings menu. Press the "back" button on the remote control.

Scroll up and select the Device option. The Device menu will appear.

Scroll down and choose the Developer options section. This option is located near the top of the Device menu.

Select ADB debugging to enable the debugging tool. If you see the status as ON below this option, ADB debugging is already enabled.

Scroll down and select the Apps from Unknown Sources option. A popup window will appear. If the ON status appears under the Apps from Unknown Sources header, there's no need to enable it again.

Select Turn On. This action will allow you to install apps from sources other than the Play Store, including Kodi.

Return to the Amazon home screen. Press the "back" button until you reach the main screen, or press the "Home" button (if available).
Install the Downloader app.

Open the search section. Tap the "Search" tab with the magnifying glass icon located at the top left corner of the screen. A text box will appear.

Enter downloader in the Search field. As you type, a condensed list of suggestions will appear below the on-screen keyboard.

Select Downloader. This is the only suggested app that appears below the keyboard. The Downloader app will be searched for in the store.

Select the Downloader app. The app's icon features an orange box with the word 'Downloader' and a large arrow above it. The app's page will open.

Tap Get it or Download. This option is located on the left side of the screen, just below the Downloader app description. The Downloader app will begin downloading onto Fire TV.

Tap Open. Once the download is complete, this option will appear; tap Open to launch the Downloader app and begin downloading Kodi.
Install Kodi.

Tap OK when prompted. The new feature notification will close.

Select the URL field. The cursor will automatically appear, so all you need to do is press the center button on your remote to open the on-screen keyboard.

Enter Kodi's download address. Type kodi.tv into the URL field, then press Go. The Kodi website will load.

Select OK when prompted. You are now ready to interact with the website.

Scroll down and select the icon featuring the mascot Android.

Scroll down and select the Android option. This icon still features the Android robot, but in green. The Kodi download page for Android will appear.

Scroll down and select ARMV7A (32BIT) under the heading "Kodi v17.4 'Krypton'". Kodi will begin downloading onto your Fire Stick device.
- If you are using a larger Amazon Fire TV box (instead of the Fire Stick), select the 64BIT version.

Select INSTALL in the bottom right corner of the screen. Kodi will start installing. The entire installation process will only take a few seconds, and then you can select OPEN at the bottom of the screen to launch Kodi.
- You can also press the ☰ button on your remote when prompted to open Kodi.
Tip
- If you have never updated Kodi, proceed by opening the Kodi page in the Downloader app and look for the latest version available for Android.
Warning
- You should exercise caution when downloading third-party applications after enabling the 'Apps from Unknown Sources' option.
