Steps
Installation on Windows Operating System

Download the GIMP installer. You can get this free program from gimp.org/downloads.
- Click on "this link" to download the file. If you choose the "Download GIMP" link, you will download GIMP using BitTorrent.

Run the GIMP installer. You can locate the installer in the saved location, typically in the Downloads/My Downloads folder.

Follow the steps to install GIMP. Most users can proceed with the default settings without making any changes.

Complete the installation process. After selecting the file format, GIMP will be installed. This may take a few minutes.

Start using GIMP. Once the installation is successful, you can begin using the program immediately.
Installation on macOS

Download the GIMP installer. You can get this free program from gimp.org/downloads.
- Ensure you download the latest version specifically designed for this operating system (Native build).

Open the DMG file. You can locate this file in the Downloads folder. Upon opening the DMG file, you will see the GIMP icon.

Drag the GIMP icon into your Applications folder. Wait a moment for the copying process to complete.

Launch GIMP from the Applications folder. If you encounter a message stating that GIMP cannot be opened because it was downloaded from the Internet, proceed to the next step.

Click on the Apple menu (Apple logo) and select System Preferences.

Open the "Security & Privacy" settings. At the bottom of the window, you will see a notification that GIMP has been blocked.

Click on .Open Anyway.

Start using GIMP. Once the installation process is complete, you can begin using the program.
Installation on Linux Operating System

Use the package manager. You can download GIMP using your Linux distribution's package manager. This tool allows you to search, download, and install new programs for your Linux system.

Search for the keyword "gimp". The program will appear at the top of the search results.

Click the "Install" button. GIMP will be downloaded and installed automatically.

Start using GIMP. You can find GIMP in your Applications folder. Double-click the program to launch it and begin using it.
