Are you looking to become part of the Facebook community? To start using Facebook, you'll first need to create an account. Once that's done, you can log into your Facebook profile from any computer or mobile device, anywhere around the world. Check out Step 1 below to learn how.
Steps
On a Computer
Go to the Facebook homepage. Open your web browser and navigate to the Facebook homepage. If you’re not logged in yet, the welcome screen will appear.
Enter your email address. At the top right of the Facebook page, there's a field for your email address. Enter the email address that you used to create your Facebook account.

- You can also log in using your phone number if it's linked to your account.
Enter your password. Type the password you created to log in. If you’ve forgotten your password, click the 'I forgot my password' link below the login field.
Choose if you want to stay logged in. If you're on a personal computer, you might want to check the 'Keep me logged in' box. This way, you won’t need to log in each time and will be taken directly to your news feed. If you're using a shared or public computer, it's best to leave this unchecked for security reasons.
Click 'Log In.' You'll be taken directly to your news feed. If you have login verification enabled, you'll need to enter the code that Facebook sends to your phone.
On a Mobile Device
Download the Facebook app. Most smartphones and tablets can download the Facebook app from the app store that corresponds to your device. This app allows you to log into Facebook without needing a web browser.

Open the app. Find and tap the app icon on your phone's home screen to open it.
Enter your email and password. When you first open the app, you’ll be prompted to enter your email and password. Use the email address you registered with Facebook. If you’ve forgotten your password, click the link below the login fields and follow the instructions to reset it.
- You’ll be automatically logged in the next time you open the app. If you don’t want to stay logged in, you’ll need to log out from the menu.
Click 'Sign In.' Now, you’re logged into your Facebook account!
