Galaxies always shine, and slime is a fascinating and useful toy that many people love. So why not combine these two elements to create a fun and unique slime? This stretchy and sparkling slime will remind you of a galaxy, and you can stretch, squish, and poke it just like you usually do when playing with slime!
Ingredients
- 360ml of clear glue (you can substitute with white glue, but clear glue makes the slime look more beautiful)
- 100ml of water (you can add more, but be careful not to add too much or the slime will become too watery)
- Dark blue food coloring
- Black food coloring
- Pink food coloring
- Purple food coloring
- Fine glitter
- Regular glitter
- 1 teaspoon of borax
Steps

Add 1 teaspoon of borax to 250ml of hot water. Stir well and let it cool down.
Divide the glue into 3 bowls. Pour approximately 120ml of clear glue into each bowl.
Add 100ml of water to each bowl.
Add dark blue and black food coloring to the first bowl.
Add pink food coloring to the second bowl.
Add purple food coloring to the third bowl.
Sprinkle both types of glitter into each bowl.
Use chopsticks to stir the mixture of glue, water, food coloring, and glitter. Once mixed, the glue, glitter, and food coloring will be evenly distributed and won't clump together.
- While you can stir the mixture with a spoon, it is not recommended. The mixture may stick to the curved part of the spoon and be difficult to remove.
Pour one-third of the borax mixture into a bowl. Stir quickly and evenly as the slime begins to form.
Repeat this process for the remaining two slime mixtures.
Knead the mixture with your hands. If the slime is still a little wet, continue kneading it with your hands until it becomes firmer.
Carefully combine the slime pieces by kneading them together. Be gentle when kneading to avoid mixing the colors of the slime too much.
Play with your sparkling galaxy slime. Store the slime in an airtight container or a plastic bag.
Tips
- You don't need borax. The borax solution can be replaced with liquid starch, laundry detergent, contact lens solution, or saltwater solution.
- Consider adding star-shaped glitter to make the slime look more like a galaxy.
- Another method to make slime is to mix glue, water, and laundry detergent in a bowl.
- Don't add too much glue, or the slime will become too sticky.
- White glue can be an effective substitute for clear glue, but it's not recommended to use it.
- If you're experienced at making slime, you can make one batch and divide it into three parts, then mix the colors and glitter. This will save time.
Warning
- Glitter can leave stains, and playing with this slime may cause glitter to fall off and stick to your hands.
- The colors will blend harmoniously as you knead the slime multiple times.
