Aloe vera juice is an excellent choice for detoxifying the body and purifying the bloodstream. It is also beneficial for people dealing with digestive issues, such as fibroids or constipation. Preparing aloe vera juice at home may not be effective if done incorrectly. This guide will walk you through the process of safely making aloe vera juice at home while preserving its nutrients.
Steps
Aloe Vera and Orange Juice

Ingredient Preparation: You will need:
- Barbadensis Miller aloe vera variety
- 15ml white vinegar (optional)
- 250ml water (optional)
- 250ml orange juice or any citrus fruit juice

Cut a few aloe vera leaves from the plant.

Carefully use a sharp knife to remove the green outer skin.

Next, use the knife to remove the yellow layer beneath the skin.
- The yellow layer can also be cleaned by washing with a solution of 15ml white vinegar and 250ml water.
- Once the skin and yellow layer are removed, you will be left with the clear aloe vera gel.

Continue removing the skin and cleaning the yellow layer from each aloe vera leaf until you have 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel.

Immediately place the 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel into the blender.

Add a cup of orange or grapefruit juice into the blender.

Blend the aloe vera and juice until you achieve a smooth consistency.

Pour the juice into a glass and enjoy!
Aloe Vera and Honey Juice

Ingredient Preparation: You will need:
- 200g Barbadensis aloe vera
- 200g honey
- A splash of alcohol

Cut a few aloe vera leaves. Remove the green outer skin, then slice the aloe vera into small pieces. Add all the aloe vera into the blender.

Add honey into the blender.

Blend thoroughly. Then pour the mixture into a glass jar.

Add a little alcohol. The alcohol will help preserve the mixture for a longer period.

Take a full spoonful each time, three times a day before meals. Continue for 10 days, then take a break for 10 days before resuming the intake.
Advice
- Aloe vera juice has antibacterial properties similar to the aloe vera gel we already know.
- Aloe vera juice can be consumed twice daily for good health. You can use enough gel for two servings. Remember to add the aloe vera gel to 250ml of orange juice and refrigerate until ready to drink.
- Drinking aloe vera juice every day helps improve health, boost energy, and maintain a healthy weight.
- Making aloe vera juice at home ensures no additives or preservatives, especially if you use the Barbadensis Miller variety grown at home.
- The Barbadensis Miller variety is the only one that contains enough gel to make juice.
Warnings
- Use the aloe vera gel immediately after extracting it from the leaf. Aloe vera begins to oxidize after just a few minutes, causing it to lose its nutrients.
- The most important step is to thoroughly remove the yellow layer just beneath the leaf’s skin. Eating this yellow layer can cause stomach discomfort and diarrhea.
