Today, Mytour will guide you on how to make a call to someone without showing your actual phone number. The simplest method is to dial a block code (such as *67) before the phone number you want to call. If you're using a smartphone, the Settings app will provide an option to make all outgoing calls anonymous. Alternatively, you can use the free app Google Voice to make calls from a different number, ensuring your real phone number stays safe, even if the recipient has caller ID access.
Steps
Using a block code

Identify the block code. To make a call with a hidden number using a block code, enter the code before the 10-digit phone number (or 11 digits if you're using a country code), then press the call button. Here are some common block codes:
- *67 - For most mobile and landline phones in North America, as well as landline phones in Canada.
- #31# - For some mobile phones in North America (such as AT&T) and Canada.
- 141 - For most mobile and landline phones in the UK.

Open the Phone app. This app is usually represented by a phone receiver icon on a colored background and can be found on your smartphone's home screen.
- If you’re using a landline or basic phone, just pick it up and dial the number.

Tap the dialpad icon. If the Phone app doesn’t open directly to the keypad, look for and tap the dialpad or 'Dialpad' icon. This icon typically resembles a number keypad.
- Skip this step if you’re using a landline or basic phone.

Enter the block code. Enter the block code for your country. For example, if you're calling from North America, dial *67.
- Don’t press the call button yet.

Enter the phone number. Type in the phone number you wish to call anonymously. After this, the full number will look like this: *678085031234

Press the call button. The call will go through, and your number will remain hidden. The recipient will see 'BLOCKED,' 'RESTRICTED,' or 'CALLER ID UNAVAILABLE' on their phone's display.
- Note: if the recipient’s phone has a call information display app installed, they may still see your number even if you use the block code.
Using the Settings app on iPhone

Scroll down and tap on Phone. This option is located about a third of the way down the screen, to the right of the green and white phone receiver icon.

Tap on Show My Caller ID (Display My Caller ID). This option appears in the center of the screen. If you don't see this or similar options (like Caller ID), you won't be able to hide your caller ID through the iPhone's Settings app.
- If your iPhone doesn't support hiding the caller ID, you can contact your carrier or visit their website to check if this feature is available as a paid service.

- You might be asked to confirm your action.

Exit the Settings app. Now, all outgoing calls made through the built-in Phone app on your iPhone will display as anonymous instead of showing your number on the recipient’s device.
- If the recipient's phone has a call information display app, they will still be able to see your number.
Using the Settings app on Android

Open the Phone app on Android. Tap on the Phone app with the telephone receiver icon on a colored background.

Tap the ⋮ icon at the top right corner of the screen. A dropdown menu will appear.
- On some phones, this option may appear as MORE.

Tap the Settings option in the dropdown menu. The Phone settings page will open.

Tap Calls (or similar). Find and tap the Calls, Outgoing, or Call settings option in this menu.

Select the Caller ID option in the Calls menu.
- You may need to tap on Additional settings or another option to locate this setting.

Select the Hide number option within the Caller ID settings menu. If you don't see this option, it means hiding your caller ID isn't supported by Android's settings.
- This option may appear under a different name (e.g., HIDE).
- If this feature isn't built into your Android settings, you can still obtain it by contacting your carrier or visiting their website to check if this paid option is available.
Using Google Voice

Launch Google Voice. Tap the Google Voice app icon, which is a white phone receiver inside a blue speech bubble. If Google Voice isn't already open, it will display the chat page.
- If you haven't installed Google Voice yet, download it for free on your iPhone or Android device.
- If you don't have a Google Voice account, you'll be prompted to set one up the first time you open the app (you can also tap SIGN UP). Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.
- If you're not signed into Google Voice, you will need to select your email account or enter your email and password when prompted.

Tap the "Calls" tab, represented by a phone receiver icon at the bottom of the screen (iPhone) or at the top (Android).

Tap the + icon at the bottom right of the screen. On iPhone, a menu will appear.
- On Android, this button appears as a phone receiver icon.

Tap the Make a call option. This will open the dialer screen.
- Skip this step on Android.

Enter the phone number of the person you wish to call anonymously.

Tap the Call [number] button. This option is located in the dropdown menu beneath the input field.

Tap the Call when prompted to place the call to the selected number. The recipient will see the number, but not your actual phone number.
