If you have an abundance of apples and are wondering what to do with them, apple juice is a great choice. Start by cutting the apples and boiling them in water until they become soft. After that, strain the mixture through a sieve to collect the juice. For smaller quantities, you can blend the apples with a little water and then strain the mixture to extract the juice.
Ingredients
Boil apple juice on the stove
- 18 apples
- Water to cover the apples
- Sugar or honey to add sweetness (optional)
Yields 8 cups (1,900 ml) of apple juice
Blend fresh apples for juice
- 4 apples
- 1/4 cup (59 ml) cold water
- Sugar or honey for sweetness (optional)
Yields 1 1/2 cups (350 ml) of apple juice
Steps
Boil the apple juice on the stove

Wash 18 apples. In this method, we’ll keep the skins on, so it's best to choose organic apples or those that haven’t been treated with pesticides. You can select your favorite variety or mix different types. Here are some apples with fantastic flavors:
- Gala apples
- Rome apples
- Fuji apples
- Honeycrisp apples
- Pink Lady apples
Slice the apples into pieces. Use a knife and cutting board to cut each apple into 8 wedges. If preferred, you can use an apple corer to remove the core at the same time.
- It’s not necessary to remove the core, seeds, or skin, since you will strain everything later.
Place the apples in a pot and cover with about 5 cm of water. Arrange the apple slices, including the cores, in the pot and set it on the stove. Add enough water to cover the apples by about 5 cm.
- If you add too much water, the juice will become diluted.

Cover and simmer the apples on low heat for 20 - 25 minutes. Turn the heat to medium-high to bring the water to a boil. Once it’s boiling, reduce the heat and cover the pot. Let it simmer until the apples are soft.
- Occasionally, lift the lid and stir to ensure the apples cook evenly.

Đặt rây lọc mịn lên trên tô hoặc bình. Nếu bạn muốn lọc lấy nước, hãy lót một mảnh khăn xô hoặc giấy lọc cà phê vào rây. Tô hoặc bình phải đủ to để hứng toàn bộ nước ép táo.

Wash and cut 4 apples into quarters. Place the apples on a cutting board after washing them thoroughly. Remove the cores and seeds (peeling is optional). Then, cut each apple into four even pieces.
- Choose any type of apple you prefer, or mix varieties like Gala, Fuji, Ambrosia, Honeycrisp, and Pink Lady.
Add apples and 1/4 cup (59 ml) of cold water to the blender. If you don’t have a high-speed blender, you can also use a food processor. Close the lid of the blender or food processor.

Blend the apples on high speed for 45 seconds. If your blender has a tamper, use it to push the apples down toward the blades at the bottom of the device. If not, stop blending a few times and use a long spoon to stir and press the apples down.
- The apples should be completely pureed.
Pour the pureed apple mixture into a fine sieve. Place the fine sieve over a bowl and transfer the pureed apples into it. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the juice to drain through the sieve.
- You may need to stir the pureed apples occasionally to help the juice flow through more easily.
- If you want to extract the juice, line the sieve with a cheesecloth before pouring in the puree. Afterward, gather the cloth, lift it, and squeeze to extract the juice.

Consume the apple juice immediately. Pour the apple juice into a glass and taste it. If it’s not as sweet as you’d like, add a little honey or sugar and stir. Enjoy the fresh apple juice right away or seal it and store it in the fridge for up to 1 week.
- If you want to make a larger batch to store for later, can the juice and keep it for 6 to 9 months. If stored in an airtight container and frozen, it can last up to 6 months.

Begin blending at a low speed, then gradually increase to high speed. This gives the blades a chance to break down the apples before ramping up the speed.
