Whether you're Irish or not, you can embrace the spirit of St. Patrick's Day by enjoying a frosty glass of green beer. There's a small trick to achieving that vibrant green hue while maintaining the beer's quality and frothiness. Once you master the method, you'll be toasting with a cheerful "Sláinte!" before you know it.
Steps
Food coloring

Choose a light-colored beer. A bottle of pilsner, IPA, or a light beer works perfectly. You can also create a darker green beer, but this requires so much food coloring that your teeth might turn green.

Add 4–6 drops of food coloring to the bottom of the beer glass. Use more if you want a darker shade of green beer.
- Opt for liquid food coloring instead of gel; it makes the mixing process much easier.
- Avoid using blue food coloring. While you might think it will blend with the yellow of the beer to create green, it’s not a pure color, and you’ll likely end up with a bluish tint instead.

Pour the beer into the glass. The food coloring will mix with the beer as you pour, turning it into a vibrant green. Avoid stirring, as this can cause the color to fade significantly.

Enjoy your creation.
Beerzicle

Purchase beer bottles made of clear glass.

Purchase a green clover Beerzicle. You can find this product online or at stores specializing in alcohol-related items.

Chill the Beerzicle if desired. This will keep your beer cold.

Insert the Beerzicle into the beer bottle. Now your beer has turned green, and you're all set for any St. Patrick's Day party conversations!
Tips
- To make green beer in a keg, you'll need a color injector. You can ask the seller to dye it green for you.
- Green beer is a must-have item for Green Beer Day!
