Observing the aura of others can help you unlock infinite potential. Likewise, learning to read and protect your own aura is essential for both your physical health as well as your mental and spiritual well-being. You don't need to possess psychic abilities like a mystic to see the aura. In fact, it is believed that everyone has the innate ability to see auras, a skill that is often easier to tap into in childhood. Follow the steps below to awaken your ability to perceive auras once again.
Steps
Understanding the Aura

First, understand the definition. In general, the aura is thought to be a unique atmosphere surrounding an individual, but it is important to recognize that the aura is more than just that. It is believed to be generated by impulses—the type of photonic impulses the body emits in response to external stimuli. The aura reflects significant information about the nature of the person or object it surrounds.

Aura cleansing

Recognizing when to cleanse. We often unknowingly absorb the energy of others. When that energy is negative, it impacts our own aura negatively. You may have experienced this: your mood is good and you plan to spend time with a friend. You enjoy the afternoon, but then at some point, you begin to feel discomfort and anxiety. By the time you get home, your mood is entirely down. This is a clear sign that you need a cleanse. Even if your aura isn't out of balance, it's still good practice to regularly cleanse to shed any negative energy.

Aura cleansing. Focus on the root chakra located at the base of the spine, associated with the color red. Visualize the root being anchored to the earth by a red beam of light extending downward. Imagine yourself bathing in the golden light radiating from the sun. Allow this light to pass through your body and aura. Hold this image for a while. Next, envision a violet beam of light extending from the soles of your feet to the crown of your head. See and feel the light as a warm protective blanket, trusting it has the ability to heal any cracks in your aura. At this point, the cleansing and healing process is taking place. If done correctly, you will feel stronger, release negative energy, and experience peace. Meditate a bit longer with this feeling. When you feel comfortable, picture a white light surrounding your cleansed aura to strengthen protection.

Learning to observe the aura

Start with sensing. A good way to begin observing the aura is by practicing how to sense it. Focus on how you perceive someone's presence. Take a deep breath, exhale, and then concentrate on your internal physical senses and instinctive reactions. Ask yourself how being near this person makes you feel—do you feel at peace? Or anxious? Confused? Think about the color you would associate with them. As your abilities improve, sensing and observing the aura will become easier.

Develop peripheral vision. Our peripheral vision is less vulnerable than the central area of the retina and contains more light-sensitive cells. Over the years, humans have used central vision for fixed purposes, making it harder to engage it in new tasks, like observing the aura. A simple exercise you can do is focus on one point for 30-60 seconds. This will help enhance your ability to sense light.

Learn to observe.

Practice on your own. Sit in a dimly lit room and relax. Take a few deep breaths. Set the intention in your mind to see the aura and focus on it. This is an important step to build confidence that this is something you can achieve. Touch your two index fingers together, rub them, and push them against each other. The aura has a 'sticky' nature, and once your fingers touch, energy will also 'hover' between them. Now, focus on the space between your fingers while still rubbing them together. Then, separate your fingers by about 3 cm. Focus on that space and see if you notice any faint mist or colored haze between your fingers.
- The more you practice, the clearer and easier the aura will be to see. Once this happens, practice with both hands by rubbing them together and then separating them to observe the aura between them.
Advice
- Avoid straining your eyes.
- Relax, take deep breaths, and focus.
- Be cautious not to stare at others' auras too openly. They might think you're glaring at them.
- Read the books by Vincent Van Praagh. He is a very renowned theologian.
