Today, Mytour will guide you on how to view the contents of .db or .sql database files using DB Browser on Windows and macOS.
Steps
Visit http://sqlitebrowser.org in your web browser. DB Browser is a free tool that allows you to open database files on both PC and Mac.
Download the version for your operating system. You'll find several green download buttons along the right side of the screen. Click the button corresponding to your operating system and follow the on-screen instructions to download the file to your computer.
Install the application. Double-click the file you just downloaded and follow the on-screen instructions provided by the installer to install the application.
- If you are using a Mac, drag the DB Browser icon to the Applications folder to begin the installation process.
Launch DB Browser. On Windows, the app will be found under All Apps in the Start menu, while on Mac, it will be located in the Applications folder.
Click on Open Database (Open Database). This option appears at the top of the app. A file browser window will open on your computer.
Navigate to the database file you want to open. This file will typically have the extension .db or .sql.
Select the file and click Open. The database will open in DB Browser.
