Today, Mytour will guide you through setting up 2-player gaming on the Nintendo Switch. You can enjoy multiplayer gaming by rotating the console horizontally and using the Joy-Con controllers; alternatively, one player can use the Joy-Con while the other uses the Switch Pro controller.
Steps

Remove the Joy-Con controllers. To detach the Joy-Con controllers, take the console out of the dock (if it's connected) and flip it over. Press and hold the circular button near the ZL and ZR buttons on the back of the Joy-Con, then slide the controller off the console. Repeat the process for the other Joy-Con.

Attach the Joy-Con straps. These accessories consist of thin pieces with two buttons that attach to wrist straps. The Joy-Con straps are marked with a "+" or "-" at the top. Align the "+" and "-" buttons on the Joy-Con with the corresponding marks on the strap. Slide the open end of the strap through the slot on the side of the Joy-Con until they click into place.
- To remove the Joy-Con strap, push the sliding lock located beneath the strap and slide it upward to detach.
- If one player uses the Switch Pro controller, the other player can attach both Joy-Con controllers to the grip to create a standalone game controller.

Select the Joy-Con icon. The Joy-Con icon on the home screen is the controller setup menu. This is where you can configure the controllers for 2-player gaming.
- You can navigate the Nintendo Switch menu by tapping the screen or using the controller to highlight an option and pressing the "A" button.

Choose Change Grip/Order. This option is located at the top of the controller setup menu.

Press the R+L buttons on both controllers. If using Joy-Con for 2-player mode, rotate the controllers so the analog sticks are on the left. Then, press the (R & L) buttons on the top of the straps. If using a Pro controller or another type, press the R & L buttons on both controllers you intend to use.

Select a 2-player game. There are numerous 2-player games available on the Nintendo Switch. You can purchase games from the Nintendo eShop or retail stores. Check the back of the game case or the Nintendo eShop page to see how many players the game supports.

Choose 2-player mode. When the game's title screen appears, select the “multiplayer/two-player mode” to start playing with two players.
