If you're participating in a Zoom meeting on your PC or Mac, you can share videos from your computer for everyone to view. This article will guide you on using the screen-sharing feature to display videos during your Zoom meeting.
Steps

Join or create a new Zoom meeting. To learn more about joining a Zoom meeting, you can refer to the guide on joining a Zoom meeting using a PC or Mac.

Open the video in another application or browser window. For example, if you want to share a video downloaded to your computer, double-click the video to open it in your default media player (such as Windows Media Player or Quicktime).
- You don’t need to play the video yet—if it starts automatically, simply hit the pause button.

Click the Share Screen button on Zoom. This green button is located at the bottom of the Zoom window.

Check the box next to "Optimize Screen Sharing for Video Clip." When you select this option, the box next to "Share computer sound" will also be checked to ensure other participants can hear the audio from your video.

Click on the window or application containing the video. You’ll see all the screens you can share, including the Zoom screen, browser tabs, and open windows like YouTube. You can identify which screen contains the video you want to play by previewing the thumbnails.

Click the Share button. Once you share the selected screen, other meeting participants will be able to view it.
- For example, if you chose a YouTube page earlier, participants will see your browser’s YouTube page. You can click the full-screen icon at the bottom right of the YouTube video to view it in full screen.
- If you paused the video earlier, go back and press Play to start it.
- To stop sharing, click the Stop Share button at the top of the screen.
